Your feet carry you through life—but how much attention do you give your toes?

(R)This illustration shows the dorsal (top) part of the foot, where many tendons and muscles are located. Because the feet are constantly working and supporting the body, they can easily develop fatigue, stiffness, and stagnation. Anma should be applied deeply and carefully, especially by separating and working between each toe to help release tension and improve circulation.

(M) This illustration shows a squeezing technique used along the six meridians of the leg. The purpose is to help release stagnation and encourage the circulation of blood and energy throughout the lower leg.

(L)This illustration shows how to gently pull each toe, one at a time, beginning from the base of the toe. Unlike the fingers, the toes are often compressed together and have very little space between them. For this reason, carefully separating and pulling each toe can help relieve tension, create space, and promote better circulation and energy flow.

"Dental Professionals Pain Conditions"

Through the years, I have seen many dental professionals. The most common conditions they come in with are neck and shoulder tightness due to posture, numbness/tingling in the arm because of the length of time holding instruments they use and wrist pain often diagnosed as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Utilizing a focused shiatsu anma method, I have found by releasing key points such as LI-11, LI-10, LI-17, LI-18, GB-21 I’m able to help these professionals once again move towards balance, relieving the discomforts from doing their work.

Many of them now come in, not to treat their pain, but to maintain feeling good."

Using the correcting technique.

The correcting technique is applied by pressing or pulling on the joints, spine, pelvis, neck and/or scapula, to release rigidity from these areas.

Shiatsu-Anma correcting does not have as its purpose the snapping or popping of joints. The effectiveness of its slow and gentle techniques depends on the considered timing and soothing rhythm that practitioners will develop with experience.

Spinal alignment, correcting joint articulation, and improving smooth functioning of the joints are all objectives of this technique

Ancient movements. Timeless wisdom. 🌿

Did you know that Qigong has roots in ancient Chinese practices dating back thousands of years?

Daoyin, an ancient Taoist practice combining movement, breathwork, and mindful awareness, was developed to cultivate Qi (vital energy), harmonize the body and mind, and promote longevity.

One of its most fascinating traditions is the Five Animal Exercises (Wu Qin Xi), attributed to the legendary physician Hua Tuo.

🐅 Tiger • 🦌 Deer • 🐻 Bear • 🐒 Monkey • 🐦 Bird

Inspired by the natural movements of animals, these exercises combine gentle stretching, flowing movement, and conscious breathing to encourage flexibility, balance, circulation, relaxation, and vitality.

In traditional Chinese philosophy, these practices were believed to support the free flow of Qi and nurture a long, healthy life.

Thousands of years later, this ancient wisdom continues to inspire how we move, breathe, and care for ourselves.

This manual therapy, known as "kaishyaku no jyutsu",  translates to "understanding" in Japanese. It emphasizes the importance of understanding the condition of soft tissues, including assessing the level of stiffness and identifying specific types of stiffness through skilled palpation and kneading.

During the assessment, various characteristics can be observed and identified through touch, such as textures that can be described as ropey, bumpy, gravelly, crunchy, or spongy.

The practitioner pays close attention to specific clicking sounds that may be present during the treatment process. These clicking sounds, known as "guru, guru, goro, goro, kyoro, kyoro, zara, zara," among others, in Japanese, hold significance in the diagnostic process.

Once these conditions are identified, appropriate treatment is administered to alleviate them by using either a cross-fiber or rotating-kneading motion. The cross-fiber technique is excellent to break down scar tissues. Combining pressure techniques with "kaishyaku" kneading manipulation of the soft tissues is highly effective, particularly when treating tight, rigid, tense and spasming muscles.

The First Golden Gate: Integration

The first secret to the universe’s power to perform miracles is integration. The universe continuously organizes, connects, and unifies all things into coherent, meaningful systems. From the smallest particles to the vast galaxies, everything moves toward wholeness. The Sun and the planets are integrated within the solar system, just as atoms are formed from particles and galaxies from clouds of gas. This universal tendency toward integration transforms simplicity into complexity and chaos into order.

At the most fundamental level, forces of nature act as integrators. Tiny particles join to form larger ones, which come together to form atoms—the building blocks of everything around us. In this way, the universe is constantly bringing energy, matter, and forces together to create the unified world we experience.

There is a timeless truth: “As above, so below.” The same principle of integration exists in both the macrocosm and the microcosm. The universe expresses itself through complementary dual forces. In Taoism, this is understood as Yin and Yang—opposing yet unified energies that create harmony through their interaction. Just like a solar system, an atom has a structure in which protons and neutrons are located in the nucleus, and electrons are rotating around it. An atom, a proton, a neutron, and an electron are all integrated in a cell...

✨ Feeling overwhelmed? Your reset button might be right between your eyebrows.

Meet YINTANG (EX-HN3) — also known as the Third Eye Point.

Located between your eyebrows, this powerful little point has been used for centuries in Traditional Chinese Medicine to support relaxation, calm the mind, and encourage a sense of balance.

🌸 Why Yintang is so special:

✨ Encourages relaxation and stress relief

🌙 Traditionally used to promote restful sleep

🧘 Supports mindfulness and emotional balance

💆 Commonly used in TCM for headaches and sinus discomfort

Try this mindful moment:

Place your 2 overlapped index or middle fingers gently between your eyebrows, just above the bridge of your nose. Inhale gently: Breathe in naturally through your nose for approximately 3–5 counts. Exhale slowly: Breathe out comfortably for approximately 5-10 counts while applying gentle, steady pressure to Yintang.

Repeat: Continue for about 6–12 breathing cycles, or approximately 1–2 minutes.
