What would you love to enjoy again?

When you’re caring for your health, working, or looking after everyone else, enjoyment can slip to the bottom of the list. I want to make room for it in the conversation.

During the early months of COVID, I started acrylic painting. The panda painting I share in this video brought me pleasure and helped me feel calmer during long days at home. More recently, ballroom dancing has brought me movement, connection, and a different kind of confidence in my body.

Your moment might be a favorite song, time with your pet, a few minutes in the garden, or slowly enjoying a warm drink.

And during a difficult season, a small moment of comfort counts, too.

Watch this conversation about finding joy again, and tell me: What is one small thing you do simply because you enjoy it?

A little joy can begin with something already within reach.

A song you love. A warm drink enjoyed slowly. A few minutes outside. A conversation that helps you feel connected.

I often ask what you would like to enjoy again, because your interests and everyday pleasures matter in the life you’re caring for.

Use this as a gentle reminder to choose one small moment that feels right for you. During a difficult day, that moment might bring comfort rather than excitement.

A useful fatigue conversation can begin with five questions:
1. How restorative does my sleep feel?
2. Have my meals or evening routines changed?
3. Are there reasons to review nutrient status?
4. Have my hormonal patterns or digestion changed?
5. Did this begin around an illness?

The answers help a clinician choose next steps that fit your history. Testing may be useful when there is a clear clinical question.

Try one brief note each day: sleep, meal timing, and energy. Keep the effort manageable.

Which part of this checklist would be most useful at an appointment?

Eight hours of sleep. So why does your morning still feel like you need four more?

Feeling rested involves more than time in bed. Your sleep quality, nourishment, and health history all deserve a place in the conversation.

In this livestream, I explore seven areas that may help us understand persistent fatigue, including nutrient needs, hormonal changes, digestion, and recovery after illness.

A helpful place to begin: notice how you feel when you wake up and when your energy changes throughout the day. Bring those observations to your healthcare provider.

What might you notice when you turn down the noise?

My Seasonal Reboot gives us a focused time to simplify our food choices and listen. Notice your energy, how meals feel, and which everyday habits deserve a closer look. The goal is to learn what helps you feel well.

I will begin my own reboot today. Save this reminder and explore the current Seasonal Reboot below.

Sometimes, the most helpful change is giving yourself room to hear what your body is telling you.

That is what I mean by reducing the noise. We get so busy that we stop noticing how our everyday food choices and habits make us feel. My Seasonal Reboot is an opportunity to simplify those choices and reconnect with your body.

Feeling better, having more energy, digestive comfort, and weight management are some of the goals people bring to this process. The deeper lesson is learning what works for you and what you want to carry forward.

I will begin my own Seasonal Reboot today. I would love to share this season of listening and focused care with you.

A little preparation can make your next step clearer.

Before joining my Seasonal Reboot, take a few minutes with these five questions. Knowing your goal, reviewing your health history, and understanding the daily plan helps us have a more useful conversation.

Thinking about a seasonal detox? Start with a plan that fits you.

In this live, I explain how my Seasonal Reboot works, how food fits into the two-week program, and what to consider before getting started.

We’ll look at your goals, medications, health conditions, and the kind of support that would make the experience easier to follow. I also explain the optional Well World program for recipes and daily guidance.

Watch the conversation, then bring your questions to me. To discuss whether this is a good time for you, call my office at 707-524-9640 or visit https://hearttoheartmedicalcenter.com/contact/.

Here is a simple check-in to save for a busy week.

When you feel different, it can help to put the experience into words. Is your energy changing at a particular time? Are meals more rushed? Is sleep less refreshing?

I created these five questions to help you notice what has shifted in your routine. Choose the one that feels most relevant and write down a brief observation. Bring recurring concerns to your healthcare professional.
