(SPARCC) was formed as a non-profit agency in 1979. We are the only state-certified center for domestic violence and sexual assault services for Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. SPARCC free and confidential services include:
• 24-hour Crisis Helpline
• 24-hour Emergency Shelter
• Hospital and Court Accompaniment
• Safety Planning
• Crisis Counseling and Advocacy
• Children’s Services
• Case Management
• Therapeutic Counseling
• Legal Services
• Support Groups
• Economic Empowerment
• Information and Referrals
• Prevention Education

Together, with the help of volunteers, in-kind donors and financial supporters, SPARCC is able to offer comprehensive wrap-around services for survivors and their children, as well as prevention education to community groups and area schools. We can’t do this important work without YOU!

SPARCC North Port Advocate Michelle joined the community at North Port City Center Green for this annual event hosted by the North Port Police Department, connecting with attendees and sharing information about SPARCC’s free and confidential programs, services, and resources.

Events like these are a great opportunity to raise awareness, build community connections, and help ensure people know where to turn when they need support.

SPARCC’s Emergency Shelter is getting ready for a Halloween celebration on October 28, and we need your help!

Our Shelter Wish List includes cookie presses and holiday-themed cookie cutters so our youngest survivors can enjoy baking and decorating cookies for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and other upcoming holidays.

These simple activities bring opportunities for creativity, laughter, and special memories during their time at SPARCC. 💙

The 25th Annual Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee Golf Tournament is coming up Monday, October 26, and SPARCC is honored to be one of this year’s community recipients alongside the RASM REALTORS® Charitable Foundation.

What a wonderful morning with the SPARCC Auxiliary! 💜

It was great to see everyone at this morning’s Auxiliary Coffee, where members came together wearing purple in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM).

SPARCC Auxiliary members had the opportunity to learn from SPARCC Victim Advocate – Prevention & Outreach Talia, who shared valuable insights about SPARCC’s work in the community and the importance of raising awareness.

A special thank you to Jackie for graciously opening her home and hosting this lovely gathering!
