Yes, I’m the provider who texts to check on you. More than once a year. That’s part of the care.

At Wellness by NP, you don’t have to wait three months for an appointment just to tell me something isn’t working. When you message me, you’ll hear back by the end of the day.
I run a cash-pay practice because I want time to have these conversations.

And paying privately for my care doesn’t mean we ignore your insurance. We can explore using it for labs and retail prescriptions, including estrogen and progesterone.

Your lab results matter. So does how you feel. If a result falls within the reference range but you still feel awful, it does not stop here. Lab reference ranges are estimated from patient data that include healthy and ill people. So do you see how that affects the results? This is especially important when it comes to testosterone replacement.

Want to see if we’re a fit? Text me at 954 367 9063 You’ll hear back from me ☎️

Things are changing. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) now gives a STRONG recommendation for systemic hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for hot flashes, night sweats, and the sleep disruption.

So if you’re offered antidepressants or told to “just let it pass,” but HRT never enters the conversation, ask why.
“Is there a medical reason HRT isn’t appropriate for me, or can we review the updated guidelines?”

Medical providers love guidelines. Print these out and bring them to your appointment.
Maybe it’ll help. Maybe not.
If your questions still aren’t getting answered, I’m here.

I’ve been going to Scorch Fitness | Sarasota for almost 10 years. Never gets boring.

Somewhere along the way, I went from balancing cupcakes and w**e glasses to balancing the trainers.

Getting my hormones right, including testosterone, definitely changed how I feel, recover, and train.

Erectile dysfunction belongs in the conversation about cardiovascular health.
Yes, ED can have other causes, including stress, anxiety, medications, hormonal issues, and nerve damage. But while evaluating those, it makes sense to assess cardiovascular risk, too.

Why the connection?

Erections depend on healthy blood vessels and adequate blood flow. Blood vessel damage and plaque buildup can affect the smaller pe**le arteries before heart symptoms appear.

What has research found?
▪️ A 2021 review of systematic reviews and meta-analyses found that men with ED had approximately 55% higher relative risk of heart attack than men without ED. The review included adult men across different ages and study populations.
▪️ The U.S. MESA study followed 1,757 men without previous cardiovascular events for approximately 3.8 years. Participants came from a racially and ethnically diverse, mostly older population. Men reporting ED had nearly twice the risk of cardiovascular events, including heart attack and stroke.

These findings definitely show an association.

You don’t need more l**e. You may need vaginal estrogen. L**e helps things slide. Vaginal estrogen helps the tissue heal.

If s*x feels like sandpaper, l**e can help with friction. But if the tissue has changed because of low estrogen, adding more l**e won’t fix the tissue.

That’s called genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM). It can show up during perimenopause or menopause as vaginal dryness, burning, pain with s*x, or urinary symptoms. Vaginal estrogen replaces estrogen right in that tissue. Over time, the lining becomes thicker and more resilient, moisture improves, and the pH shifts back toward its usual acidic range.

“But what if I’ve had breast cancer?” Research has not found an increased breast cancer recurrence risk among vaginal estrogen users

And yes, you can use low-dose vaginal estrogen even if you’re already on an estrogen patch, pill, or gel. If you’re still dealing with vaginal dryness or painful s*x, your systemic estrogen may not be doing enough for that area. Vaginal estrogen treats the tissue directly
