CALL FOR WRITERS
The Stories Found Here project is seeking original written works for a community literary trail during the Sauk Centre Festival of the Arts.
Throughout the festival, selected pieces will be displayed throughout Sinclair Lewis Park, inviting visitors to slow down, wander and encounter stories in unexpected places.
We’re looking for writing inspired by place, memory, community and the moments that stay with us. The stories we inherit. The stories we tell. The stories that could only happen in a small town.
Works should be original and approximately 100–300 words in length. Submissions may include:
• Poetry
• Flash fiction
• Creative nonfiction
• Lyrical prose
Writers of all experience levels are encouraged to submit. Whether you’ve been publishing for years or have never shared your work beyond family and friends, your voice is welcome.
Selected writers will have their work featured along the literary trail and will be invited to participate in a community reading in Sinclair Lewis Park during the festival.
Stories Found Here is an opportunity to turn a walk through the park into a collection of voices, memories and moments. We hope you’ll be part of it.
Submission Deadline: August 1
