As a second generation OBGYN, I am passionate about bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in women and men.

I have the best results with hormonal pellets and feel they are superior to other regimens because they contain testosterone. HRT helps with hot flashes, night sweats, dryness, libido, fatigue, brain fog, insomnia, osteoporosis, and musculoskeletal health.

The choice of HRT regimens is up to the patient. I believe that testosterone is the missing ingredient, which is not in the estrogen patches. I check blood levels 5 weeks after starting therapy and then later depending on the patient’s relief of symptoms.

The menopausal pelvis may experience more cramping when starting HRT because of the stimulation from the estrogen: like fertilizer to grass that has not been treated in years. Progesterone minimizes post menopausal bleeding as well as cramping. If you experience bleeding, you need a pelvic ultrasound to evaluate your uterine lining.

As an OBGYN, I find that testosterone pellet therapy provides the most improvement in younger women who have low libido, fatigue, brain fog, and insomnia.

Pellet doing is based on several factors: age, weight, symptoms, and blood work. The more active patient usually needs higher dosing. Eventually, the dosing and timing gets in a rhythm, but sometimes the testosterone needs to be lowered because of stacking. Stacking is the gradual rise of testosterone with each subsequent dose of pellets.

As an OBGYN, I have found that SURGIFLO dramatically lowers the incidence of any postoperative bleeding from the cuff. I think that shaving cream would not work as well😎.
