Did you know August 22 is National Rainbow Baby Day? 🌈💙

The term “rainbow baby” may not be familiar to those who haven’t experienced pregnancy or infant loss. But for those who have, it can carry incredibly deep meaning.

A rainbow baby is a baby born after a miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal loss. The term comes from the idea of a rainbow appearing after a storm—a symbol of hope and something beautiful following an incredibly difficult season.

Today, we’re taking a moment to honor the families who know this term personally, celebrate the rainbows who are here, and hold space for those still weathering the storm as they wait for theirs. 🌈

If you’re considering or currently undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment, you’ve probably heard about preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). But you may be wondering what it is and how it’s used during IVF.

Preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) is a test performed during an IVF cycle that helps us select chromosomally normal embryos for transfer, lowering risk of miscarriage and maximizing the chances of having a healthy pregnancy .
