Every person with migraine should have these screenshots:

1. Alway carry with you:
- triptan
- a pain reliever (for example, ibuprofen or naproxen)
- paracetamol (if it works)

so you can take your medication as soon as the headache starts (there’s no need to endure the pain)

2. Coffee speeds up the absorption of the medication, so take your pain reliever with coffee.

3. Nausea needs to be treated (otherwise, whatever medication you’ve taken won’t be absorbed). Use anti-nausea medication, for example, ondansetron or a triptan in the form of a spray or dispersible tablets.

4. After taking the medication:
- stay in a quiet, cool, well-ventilated room
- you can take a shower
- or sleep for no more than 2 hours

5. Start prevention. Migraine prevention is recommended starting at 4 or more attacks per month.

MIGRAINE AURA. WHAT IS IT? 🧠⁉️

😶‍🌫️ A migraine aura is a temporary, fully reversible set of neurological symptoms that typically develop gradually before or during a headache. It usually lasts between 5 and 60 minutes, and sometimes the headache does not follow.

👀 90% of people with migraine with aura experience visual aura. But there are also sensory, speech, motor and other auras.

Visual aura, when a person sees something additional is called positive phenomena. Visual aura, when when part of the visual information is lost is called negative phenomena.

POSITIVE PHENOMENA:
1. Flickering zigzags, broken lines, geometric patterns ↯
2. Flashes, sparks ⚡️
3. Flickering arc 𖼥
4. Wavy lines 🌊
5. Mosaic 🧩

NEGATIVE PHENOMENA:
1. Scotoma
2. Tunnel vision
3. Loss of part of the visual field

How to help yourself during an aura? 😣⁉️

During a typical migraine aura, the most important things are to ensure your safety, reduce sensory load, and follow a treatment plan previously agreed upon with your doctor. Do not drive or operate machinery until your vision, speech, or sensation have fully returned to normal.

Migraine & Weather. What science says? ☔️🧠

Although many migraine sufferers report a connection between their headaches and changes in the weather, scientific research has not established a strong or universal causal link.

Studies on this topic have produced mixed results, suggesting that weather factors may only affect a subset of individuals with migraines.

Changes in barometric pressure, temperature, and humidity are among the most commonly reported weather-related migraine triggers.

Introducing a new MiG feature – non-headache logs. 🎉

A non-headache log means that you can log symptoms, medications, and disability on days when you did not have a headache. This allows you to draw conclusions about events preceding or following the pain.

The symbol for a non-headache log is a circle with a rim, indicating the presence of certain conditions but not the pain itself.

You can create a non-headache log from the card on the dashboard or from the calendar. You can view the logs in the timeline inside the calendar.

Headache? Not all pain is created equal! 🤕

Knowing your type is the first step to managing it.

👉 Migraine: More than just a bad headache. Can involve throbbing pain (usually on one side), nausea, sensitivity to light/sound, and aura.

👉 Tension Type: The most common. Feels like a tight band around your head. Often linked to stress or muscle strain.

👉 Cluster: Rare but extremely severe, sharp pain around one eye. Attacks come in «clusters» over weeks or months.

The key? Tracking them! Patterns help you and your doctor identify triggers and find the right relief. ✨

Which one do you experience most? Tell us in the comments! ⬇️
