✨🎈 Calling all tiny humans, big imaginations, and snack enthusiasts… 🎈✨

Get ready to sprinkle some magic into your week because the Festival of the Young Child is coming to town! 🧸🌈

🗓 Tuesday, April 14th
⏰ 5:00 – 7:00 PM
📍 Mills County YMCA

We’re talking:
🎨 Face painting masterpieces (yes, even the “I’m a tiger… kind of” ones)
🎈 Balloon creations by Penelope that defy all logic
🍎 FREE food (because fun runs on snacks)
🎉 Activities that’ll have kids learning without even realizing it (sneaky, we know 😉)
👑 Bonus magic: Dress up as your favorite Disney character! Whether you’re rocking full princess glam, superhero energy, or a last-minute “I found this in the closet” costume… we support it all.

Bring the kids, bring the chaos, bring your camera roll appetite 📸 — because this is one of those “they’ll be talking about it all week” kind of nights.

✨ Come play. Come learn. Come make memories that are a little sticky, a little glittery, and a lot of fun. ✨

🎉🧸 Warning: Excessive Fun Ahead. Proceed with Children. 🧸🎉

If your kids have energy to burn (and let’s be honest… they always do), we’ve got just the place 👇

✨ Festival of the Young Child is rolling into the Mills County YMCA and it’s basically a two-hour happiness factory.

🗓 Tuesday, April 14th
⏰ 5:00 – 7:00 PM
📍 Mills County YMCA

Here’s what’s going down:
🎨 Face painting (from butterflies to “I tried my best dinosaur”)
🎈 Balloon creations that will somehow become your child’s new prized possession
🍎 FREE food (because parenting tip #1: snacks = survival)
🎉 Activities designed to secretly make your kids smarter while they think they’re just having fun

👑 Dress-up encouraged! Princess? Superhero? Random costume from the dress-up bin? All are welcome. Zero judgment. Maximum cuteness.

Bring the kids, bring your patience, and maybe clear some storage space on your phone—because you’re about to take 87 pictures you refuse to delete 📸

✨ It’s fun. It’s free. It might even tire them out (no promises, but we’re hopeful).

💙 April is Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙

Every child deserves a safe, happy, and supported childhood — and it takes all of us to make that happen.

To help raise awareness, we’ve placed blue pinwheels outside the Mills County Public Health office 💙
These pinwheels represent the bright, hopeful future every child deserves — and serve as a reminder that prevention starts with strong, connected communities.

🌈 Join us TONIGHT! 🌈
We’ll be at the Festival of the Young Child at the Mills County YMCA from 5–7 PM!

Bring the whole family for an evening full of fun kids’ activities, food, and community connections 🍭🎨🍔

🧠✨ **Calling all brains ready for a little FUN!** ✨🧠

It’s time to **think, laugh, connect, and give that brain of yours a workout!** 💪🧠

**Memory Mates with Madi** features **Wits Workout®**, a fun, interactive program that brings people together for activities that challenge the mind and foster social connection. The goal is to provide adults with purposeful opportunities to remain intellectually engaged while enjoying the benefits of being part of a group.

Think of it as a **gym day for your brain**, minus the sweaty treadmill. 😂

At Memory Mates, we’ll mix things up with:

🧩 **Brain teasers & thinking challenges**
🧠 **Memory-building activities**
✨ **Learning & trying new things**
💬 **Conversation & social connection**
😂 **Laughs, fun & new friendships**

And there’s a good reason to keep that noggin busy! Staying physically active, socially engaged, and paying attention to things like stress and nutrition are lifestyle habits associated with reducing dementia and Alzheimer’s risk.

🧠✨ **MEMORY MATES WITH MADI IS COMING TO GLENWOOD & EMERSON!** ✨🧠

Give your brain a workout while having fun, meeting people, and sharing a few laughs! 💜 **Memory Mates** is a Wits Workout® program designed to provide purposeful opportunities for adults to **engage intellectually and increase socialization through group participation.**

Our brains benefit from a workout too! 🧠 Research supports lifestyle habits such as **staying socially engaged, being physically active, and managing stress and diet** as ways to help reduce the risk of developing dementia/Alzheimer’s.

During Memory Mates, we’ll put those brains to work with **fun, interactive activities that challenge memory and thinking skills**, while also giving participants a chance to connect, socialize, and build friendships. Wits Workout focuses on exercising the brain through memory tasks, learning new things, socialization, activity, and other healthy habits.

💡 **Come ready to think, laugh, connect, and have some fun!** All abilities are welcome, and you can join us at **one location or both!**
