💗🎃 A BIG DAY AT MILL CREEK! 🎃💗

We had a wonderful day at Mill Creek Nursing and Rehab Center! We started by wearing our PINK to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Our residents and staff showed their support by sporting pink and reminding everyone of the importance of awareness, early detection, and supporting those affected by breast cancer. 💗🎗️

As if that wasn’t enough fun for one day, we wrapped up the evening with an outdoor Halloween movie night! 👻🍿 Residents gathered outside, enjoyed popcorn and Coke, and settled in for a spooky good time under the evening sky. Everyone who attended loved the movie, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the day!

From wearing pink for a meaningful cause to enjoying a little Halloween magic, it was a day full of smiles, fellowship, and wonderful memories.

At Mill Creek, it’s all about making every day special and creating moments our residents can enjoy together. ❤️

🎃 PUMPKIN JUDGING CONTEST 🎃

We invite all staff, families, and community members to participate in our Pumpkin Judging Contest!

Bring your creatively decorated pumpkin and join us for some fall fun. Residents and community members will have the opportunity to judge the pumpkins and help select the winner.

Contest Details

• Pumpkin Drop-Off Begins: October 26
• Judging Closes: October 29 at 5:00 PM
• Winner Announcement: October 30

Important Instructions:

All pumpkins must be delivered to the front of the facility. Please complete the sign-up sheet and carefully follow the instructions listed on the sign-up sheet.

Get creative, show off your pumpkin decorating skills, and help us make this a fun fall event for our residents!

🎨✨ Creativity at Mill Creek! ✨🎨

Our residents had a wonderful time today creating their very own personalized wall hangings! 🏡❤️ Each resident got to choose their favorite colors and personalize their design with lettering made from Scrabble tiles—making each one as unique as the person who created it!

A big THANK YOU to our off duty Nutrition Services team for lending a helping hand and making today’s activity extra special. We appreciate you! 💕👏

Most of all, we loved seeing our residents’ personalities shine through each creation. Every piece tells a little story about the person who made it, and we’re so grateful for the smiles, creativity, and special moments our residents share with us each day. ❤️✨

A heartfelt THANK YOU for braving the weather and making the trip to be with our residents. Your music, smiles, and fellowship brought so much warmth and happiness into our home.

🎸🕺 ELVIS HAS ENTERED THE BUILDING! 🕺🎸

Well, well, well… Thank you, thank you very much! 😎🎤 Today was all shook up at Mill Creek as we welcomed Britney with Olive Branch Hospice for an Elvis-themed arts & crafts extravaganza!

Our residents channeled their inner King of Rock ’n’ Roll as they designed their very own Elvis costumes! 🎨✨ There were plenty of creative ideas, lots of laughs, and maybe even a few future Elvis impersonators in the making! 😂🕺

A BIG thank-you to Britney for bringing the fun, and a special shout-out to Jesse and Jessica for jumping in and helping our residents create their rockin’ masterpieces! ❤️

It was a whole lotta fun, a whole lotta creativity, and just a little bit of Elvis magic! 🎶

💔🎶 Mill Creek Remembers a True American Treasure — Dolly Parton 🎶💔

Today, the Mill Creek family joins millions around the world in saying goodbye to a woman whose music, kindness, humor, and generous spirit touched generations.

Dolly Parton was so much more than a country music legend. She was a storyteller, songwriter, actress, philanthropist, and a woman who never forgot her humble Appalachian roots.

For many of our residents, Dolly’s music brings back memories of another time — sitting around the radio, singing along to familiar songs, dancing with someone special, or simply enjoying the unmistakable sound of her beautiful voice. Songs like “Jolene,” “Coat of Many Colors,” “9 to 5,” and “I Will Always Love You” became part of the soundtrack of our lives.

But perhaps Dolly’s greatest gift wasn’t a song at all. ❤️

It was her heart.

Through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, she helped place millions of books into the hands of children, giving them something priceless — the opportunity to dream.

Dolly reminded us that you can come from very humble beginnings and still make an extraordinary difference in the world.

Today, we remember her not only for her incredible talent, but for the laughter she brought us, the memories her music created, and the kindness she shared with so many.
