A message from our founder:

When I look back on my sobriety journey, I think I can honestly say neither I nor probably most people around me would have bet on me ever making it to this moment.

Who would have known that on that heavy-laden date, with lights in the rearview mirror, it would become the pivot point that would bring us here 3,375 days later of continual sobriety?

God would.

Who would have known that exactly six years later, in the same week I made the decision to share my story in a small room, in a small town, in the middle of nowhere America, we would be closing out the final lesson of Navigate Freedom’s 2.0 curriculum?

God would.

Who would have known that a prayer asking God to somehow use one of the most difficult chapters of my life, even if it only made a tangible difference for one soul, would grow into more than 650 people being touched through one God-called step of faith?

God would.

Who would have known that the very things the world is often quickest to disqualify us for could become some of the very things God would use to prepare us to do His will?

God would.
Who would have known that one humble decision, mixed with a pretty deep determination to keep going, could eventually become a lighthouse helping people young and old, from different races, backgrounds, stories, struggles, and walks of life navigate toward restoration and begin finding value in their lives again?

God would.

And that is the thing.

His will. His way. It prevails.

Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sometimes that is exactly what somebody needs to be reminded of.
Imagine what it would feel like to know you are LOVED.

To know you can be FORGIVEN.

To realize you do not have to spend the rest of your life identifying yourself by your shame, your pain, your addiction, your failures, or the worst chapter of your story.

Imagine discovering VICTORY THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

Imagine knowing that your past does not get the final word.

Imagine those chains of despair, grief, anguish, fear, shame, and sin finally beginning to break.

What would it feel like to finally understand that freedom really is possible?

That is why Navigate Freedom exists.

To remind people that they are NEVER ALONE and STRONGER TOGETHER.

To remind people that they were created in the image of God, that Christ still calls people out of darkness, and that your identity does not have to remain chained to where you have been.

Tonight we officially close the book on Navigate Freedom’s 2.0 curriculum.

For me, that carries a whole lot more weight than simply finishing another curriculum.

It is another marker along a road I never could have mapped out for myself.

And I cannot wait to see what God does with the next chapter.

So if you have been part of Freedom Ministries, Navigate Freedom, sat in one of those rooms, shared your story, prayed with us, challenged us, encouraged us, showed up broken, showed up hopeful, or simply kept coming back...
Thank you.

You are part of this story.

And if you are still standing on the outside wondering whether there could possibly be something more for your life...

If God can do this with my story, maybe it is worth asking what He still wants to do with yours.
And if somewhere inside you there is still a part wondering whether freedom, restoration, forgiveness, or a different direction is actually possible...

Welcome to Navigate Freedom... Come walk with us.

You don't have to have it all figured out.
You just have to be willing to take the next step.

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6, NASB1995

Sincerely,
P.S. ~ A sinner saved by grace and still being sanctified.

How much energy are you spending trying to control things you were never given control over?

Other people. The past. An outcome. A timeline. Whether someone changes.

And at the same time, is there something that actually is yours to deal with that you keep putting off?

That is where we are going tonight at Navigate Freedom.

Lesson 17 is about learning the difference between control and responsibility.

Not “take charge of your life.”

More like:
- What is mine to do?
- What do I need to let go of?

And what is the next faithful step Christ is asking me to take?

Because the truth is, everything does not depend on you.
But your response still matters.

Have you ever decided what someone meant before you really understood them?

We all see life through experiences that shaped us.

Family. Culture. Faith. Pain. Community. Expectations. What felt normal growing up.

And sometimes what is simply different from us gets interpreted as wrong, disrespectful, or distant before we ever stop to ask a question.

Tonight at Navigate Freedom, we’re talking about how following Jesus changes the way we encounter people whose stories are different from our own.

Series 7: Managing Challenges & Setbacks
Lesson 16: Cultural Competency | Understanding Diversity

Tonight, we’ll explore:

• How do my own experiences shape what I see?
• Can I understand someone without agreeing with everything they believe?
• What does it look like to hold truth while still honoring someone’s dignity?

Biblical Scripture

“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

Genesis 1:27, NASB1995

Jesus showed us a better way.

Truth without contempt.
Grace without compromise.
Relationship without pretending differences do not exist.

What do you do when something feels bigger than you can safely carry?

Not every hard moment is a crisis.

But sometimes a situation changes enough that ordinary support is no longer enough.

And when that happens, asking for more help is not weakness. It may be the next faithful step.

Tonight at Navigate Freedom, we’re talking about how to recognize when something has become more serious, how to stay present without becoming the rescuer, and how to know when it is time to bring more help closer.

Series 7: Managing Challenges & Setbacks
Lesson 15: Crisis Resources | Immediate Assistance

Tonight, we’ll explore:

• How do I know when a hard moment has become something more serious?
• What should I do when I’m worried about someone’s safety?
• What is the next safe step when I do not know what to do?

Biblical Scripture

“God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.”

Psalm 46:1, NASB1995

Prayer matters. Trusting God matters.

And sometimes trusting Him also means receiving the help He provides through other people.

Who actually knows how you’re doing?

You can have people around you and still be carrying a lot by yourself.

Sometimes isolation does not look like being alone.

Sometimes it sounds like:

“I’m fine.”
“I’ve got it.”
“I’ll handle it myself.”

Tonight at Navigate Freedom, we’re talking about what healthy support really looks like.

Series 7: Managing Challenges and Setbacks
Lesson 14: Finding Support | Recovery Network

Tonight, we’ll explore:

• What’s the difference between solitude and isolation?
• How do I know who is actually trustworthy?
• Who should know the real version of how I’m doing?

Biblical Scripture

“Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.”

Galatians 6:2, NASB1995

God did not design us to pursue freedom alone.

That does not mean trusting everybody or telling everyone everything.

It means learning to let the right people walk with us.

Come as you are.

You do not need to have everything figured out, and you do not have to carry everything by yourself.

Tonight | 6:00 PM

What happens when life hits harder than you expected?

Maybe you thought you were doing better.

Then something happened.

A setback. A loss. A disappointment. Pressure you did not see coming.

And suddenly an old reaction showed back up.

You wanted to isolate. Control everything. Shut down. Numb out. Run. Pretend you were fine.

That does not mean all your progress disappeared.

Tonight at Navigate Freedom, we are talking about resilience.

Not the kind that says, “Just be stronger.”

The kind that learns how to stay rooted in Christ when life gets hard.

Series 7: Managing Challenges and Setbacks
Lesson 13: Resilience Building | Adversity

Tonight, we will explore:

• What does pressure reveal about me?
• Does struggling mean I am not resilient?
• How do I respond differently when an old pattern shows back up?

Biblical Scripture

“Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.”

Colossians 2:6-7, NASB1995

A tree cannot control the storm.

What matters is where its roots are.

Life may shake you. It may expose something. It may even change you.

But it does not get to decide who you are or where you go next.

Sometimes resilience looks less like standing tall and more like recognizing what is happening, returning to truth, reaching for help, and taking the next faithful step. That is exactly the movement of the lesson’s R.O.O.T. Check: Recognize, Orient to Truth, Open, Take the Next Step.

Come as you are.

You do not need to prove you are strong.

You do not need to pretend the storm did not hurt.

Come sit with people who are learning how to stay rooted, tell the truth, receive help, and keep moving forward with Christ.

Tonight | 6:00 PM
LifeChange Church: Basement

The storm may change you. It does not have to define you. Stay rooted. Take the next faithful step.

We spend a lot of Wednesday nights talking about the hard stuff.

Recovery. Relationships. Faith. Setbacks. The things beneath the surface.

But lasting freedom also includes learning how to enjoy life again.

So tonight, we’re doing something simple.

UNO. Food. Conversation. Community.

No lesson to prepare for. No pressure to share. No need to have your life figured out.

Just come hang out.

As summer winds down and families settle back into the rhythm of school, we’re closing out the month together with a Navigate Freedom Game Night.

Bring yourself. Bring a friend. Bring your UNO game face.

08/19/2026

What do I do when my own mind becomes hard to manage?

Maybe your thoughts have been racing.

Maybe you have been withdrawing from people, struggling to function, feeling overwhelmed, anxious, numb, exhausted, or simply unlike yourself.

Maybe you have wondered whether what you are experiencing means something is wrong with your faith.

You are not alone in asking those questions.

Tonight at Navigate Freedom, we are exploring mental health without shame, simple explanations, or reducing people to a diagnosis.

Mental-health struggles can affect how we think, feel, perceive, and function, but they do not determine our identity or place us beyond the care of Christ.

Series 7: Managing Challenges and Setbacks
Lesson 12: Mental Health | Managing Disorders

Tonight, we will explore:

• How do I know when what I am experiencing may require more support?
• Can a diagnosis describe part of my experience without defining who I am?
• Can faith, counseling, treatment, medication, recovery support, and community work together rather than compete?

Biblical Scripture

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39, NASB1995

Your struggle may affect your life.

It does not define your identity.

Receiving appropriate help does not mean your faith has failed.

Sometimes the next faithful step is prayer. Sometimes it is repentance. Sometimes it is rest. Sometimes it is calling someone, returning to recovery support, talking with a counselor, following a treatment plan, or simply admitting:

“I am not doing well, and I need more help.”

Come as you are.

You do not need to understand everything you are experiencing. You do not need to have the right words for it. You do not need to pretend everything is okay.

Come join honest people who are learning to follow Christ, tell the truth about what is happening, receive appropriate support, and continue walking toward lasting freedom together.

Tonight | 6:00 PM
LifeChange Church

08/12/2026

Am I taking care of the life God has entrusted to me?

Maybe you have been running on empty for so long that exhaustion feels normal.

Maybe you know you need rest, healthier rhythms, stronger relationships, or support, but knowing what is healthy and actually living it can feel like two very different things.

You are not alone in that struggle.

Tonight at Navigate Freedom, we are exploring how healthy living is not about controlling every outcome, creating the perfect routine, or measuring ourselves against someone else's life.

It is learning to faithfully care for what God has entrusted to us.

Series 7: Managing Challenges and Setbacks
Lesson 11: Healthy Lifestyle | Nurturing Well-Being

Tonight, we will explore:

• Why can knowing what is healthy still be different from actually doing it?
• What do my limits have to do with faithful living?
• What needs attention, adjustment, acceptance, or support in my life right now?

Biblical Scripture

“And He said to them, ‘Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while.’ (For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.)”

Mark 6:31, NASB1995

Jesus did not shame His disciples for being tired.

He recognized their limits.

Having limits is not a failure of faith. Rest is not weakness. Asking for help is not defeat.

Sometimes faithfulness means continuing. Sometimes it means stopping. Sometimes it means serving. Sometimes it means allowing someone else to help carry the load.

Come as you are.

You do not need a perfect routine. You do not need to fix everything at once. And you do not need to pretend you are handling everything well.

Come join honest people who are learning to follow Christ, support one another, and build lives that increasingly support lasting freedom.

Tonight | 6:00 PM
LifeChange Church

There is a seat waiting for you.

Care for what God has entrusted. Respect your limits. Build faithful rhythms. Return when you drift.
