These days feel so fleeting. Fall is such a pretty time of year. We're heading into a season of reset. We created fall scents that we thought reflected these moments best.

And this weekend, they're on sale.

In-store and online Friday and Saturday. Online only thru Sunday.

I woke up the other morning and stepped outside. It was cool and dry, and I noticed the leaves changing color for the first time. I've been so head down working at the new store that I nearly missed that we've officially transitioned to fall!

I sat down with a notebook and put together an event. It's a little last-minute to share, but I think it's worth it. So here is what's happening this weekend:

It's a Fall Festival! We're putting all our fall scents on sale Friday and Saturday in-store. This includes our fall scents: Cranberry, Meadow, and Woodland, and is available in whipped soap, lotion, body butter, bar soap, exfoliating whipped soap, sugar scrub, room spray, and car diffusers.

If you've been wanting to try some of these exclusive fall scents, this is a great time to do it.

And we've got something special planned over at the Moss & Mug coffee bar, too. Friday and Saturday only, we'll have fall pastries paired with an exclusive specialty drink: A Pumpkin S'mores Latte. Yes. Pumpkin s'mores. With homemade marshmallows, housemade pumpkin syrup with real pumpkins, and housemade mocha sauce. It really is as good as it sounds.

But the pastries and the Pumpkin S'mores Latte are only available Friday and Saturday in-store. So find a way to stop in. You won't regret it.

Can't make it in person this weekend? The fall product sale extends online Sunday, October 11th. Shop from home and still save on all the fall scents. Note that the exclusive coffee bar specials are in-store only and will not be available Sunday.

We will be closed tomorrow for the Labor Day holiday. And I wanted to take a moment to share why. Because it's more than just a federal holiday.

Labor Day was born out of a movement of workers who believed they deserved better. Better hours, better conditions, better lives. The fact that we get to pause and rest on this day is because people before us fought hard for that right.

We think about that a lot as a small business. Joshua and I built this from nothing, and every person on our team shows up every single day because they believe in what we are doing here. We recognize that and don't take that lightly.

So tomorrow our doors will be closed. Giving our team a genuine day of rest. Not because we have to. Because we want to. Because the people behind this business deserve it, and because honoring that feels important.

We hope you get a real day of rest too. Not a productive one. Not a catch-up-on-errands one. A real one.

Whew. I'm finally having a moment to sit down and type this out. My mind has been swirling with everything that happened...

Whew. I'm finally having a moment to sit down and type this out. My mind has been swirling with everything that happened on Saturday.

I sat down to outline a post to write about. I thought I would talk about how amazed I was that there were over 30 people in line at 7:15 when I pulled into the parking lot. Or how over 150 people were in line before the doors even opened!

I wrote down some stats about the nearly 800 free gifts we gave away. Or how the coffee bar sold out of a few dozen cookies in under an hour. Or about all the smiles and good spirits everyone was in, despite having to wait in a long line to check out at one of the three registers we had open.

But as I wrote out these ideas, I thought, "These are what everyone saw." This is what we posted to our stores. People tagged us, and everyone was talking about all of those things.

I wanted to share things no one else saw.

Like the conversation I had with a woman who told me our face cleanser has been the ONLY THING that has helped her acne. It's given her confidence she hasn't had in years.

And another couple who told me her husband rubs the Miracle Muscles on his neck at bedtime, and it's nearly stopped his snoring. It's improved his sleep tenfold, but even more so, it's helped their marriage.

And yet another conversation I had with a young man who wanted to personally thank me for our tinctures. He's been making his own herbal tincture blend to help manage his anxiety and depression. It was hard to not get emotional as he told me about the struggles he has and how the tinctures have really helped him get through.

It's these conversations that no one saw. This is what keeps coming to my mind when I think about Saturday. It was flooded with people. I can hear the laughter, and see the smiles, and all the hugs and thank-yous and congratulations. I can remember them all. But what sticks out the most is the 1 on 1 time with a handful of people who are struggling, and our products... my products, the ones I make... are helping them.

That's what I wanted to share. Because after eight years, these stories never get old. They only encourage me to keep going. Keep learning. Keep improving. And keep finding ways to let more people know not just about us, but about herbal remedies.

We knew it would be a pretty exceptional day, and still I was unprepared for just how exceptional it would be. So from the bottom of my heart and from all of our team, thank you.

Every year we go to bed and say, "We aren't going to extend the sale into Sunday." And every year we wake up to an email: "Oh no, I missed the sale! Any way I can still get the sale price?"

And then we extend the sale. This community has become more than products and more than sales. It's so much more than that. We're taking the morning off with a slow coffee and a hearty breakfast.

If you missed the sale, or remembered something you wanted to grab, or missed the chance to tell a friend about the sale, you've still got today to make that happen. Thanks for making yesterday feel so special. I've got so many thoughts and feelings and conversations to work through about yesterday, and I'm excited to share them with you. But... after breakfast and coffee. :-)
