I want to tell you my story. One day it’ll be a video, but for now it’s written…

I am not a farmer. Was not raised to be one. Wasn’t raised around farming at all. I don’t have a history of “those who came before me” type of background.

I was called.

In 2019 I heard God tell me, “I want you to farm.” I shoved that call down. I reasoned with God because I knew I heard it wrong, or maybe He had the wrong person, or maybe if I just ignore it long enough then the call will go away.

But it didn’t.

Then a friend spoke words to me that shook the outcome of my future. I truly believe God used her to speak farming into my life. And I said, “Yes.”

Yes, with great insecurities.

So the animals came. The faith grew.

I still have those insecurities but at least I now know I can overcome my shortcomings. This past weekend I spent it in prayer, reflection, and study. Where do I go from here? How do we grow? I pray often and hard for the Holy Spirit to guide us.

And yesterday, for the FIRST TIME while working me animals, I felt total free!! Free from what, I don’t know exactly, but just free. It felt surreal to look around and see what God guided us to build.

There’s more to this story that I’ll share later, but for now I’m just the Faithful Farmer, and I hope you come along with us on this journey.

Much Love,
Sarah
