Celebrating my 7th year on Facebook for Intentional Calm Thank you for your continuing support. I could never have made it without you. 🙏🤗🎉

Was Facebook even a thing in 1996??? 30 years technically. Business "formally" began 1999. So I will save the big 30 for 2029!!! Lololol

What if some of life's best possibilities are the ones we haven't imagined yet?

We spend so much time planning, organizing, and thinking about what comes next.

And while there's certainly value in having a plan, there's also something wonderful about leaving room for the unexpected.

This week's *Weekly Experience* was inspired by a Jeep adventure along Parsons Branch Road in the Great Smoky Mountains.

A beautiful reminder that sometimes the road we hadn't planned to take becomes the one we remember most.

**Space Creates Possibility**

I hope this week's reflection encourages you to stay curious about what else might be possible.

☕ **The Weekly Experience | When Did “Someday” Become the Plan?**

We all have those things we keep saying we'll do someday.

And we really do mean to get around to them!

But then life happens. Work gets busy. Responsibilities pile up. Another week goes by.

And someday keeps moving farther away.

This week, we're talking about finding little ways to enjoy the things that matter to us without waiting for everything to be perfect.

Because someday is a wonderful thing to look forward to.

**It just shouldn't be the only place we allow ourselves to live.** ❤️

What if the life you're building isn't being shaped primarily by your biggest decisions?

What if it's being built in all the ordinary ones?

Whether you take the walk.
Make the call.
Close the laptop.
Say yes.
Say no.
Make room for something you love.
Or keep telling yourself, "Maybe someday."

One choice probably won't change your life.

But our choices become patterns.

And our patterns become the way we live.

October's Weekly Experience theme is **Live Intentionally**:

*Now that I can hear myself, what am I choosing?*

This week's reflection:

**If I keep choosing this, what am I creating more of?**

And perhaps an even better question...

**What do I want more of in the life I'm building?**

This week's Weekly Experience is now on the blog. Link in bio. 💛

Have you ever walked into a room and known almost immediately that something was off?

No one had to say anything.
You could just... feel it.

The interesting thing is, the opposite happens too.

Some people bring a steadiness with them that seems to help everyone else breathe a little easier.

This week's Weekly Experience is about something I've been thinking about as we close our September conversation on staying grounded:

Our calm doesn't stay with us.

It travels into our homes, our workplaces, our conversations, and the ordinary moments in between.

This week, we're talking about the ripple effect of what we bring into a room.

Have you ever caught yourself thinking:

*I should be further along by now.*

Further along in your career.
Your healing.
Your goals.
Your finances.
Your relationships.
Your plans for what comes next.

Here’s a question worth considering:

**Behind whom?**

We can spend so much time measuring our lives against timelines that were never ours in the first place.

This week’s Intentional Calm Weekly Experience is an invitation to put down the measuring stick.

Your life has its own seasons, detours, milestones and timing.

**You don’t have to match the world’s pace when the world isn’t living your life.**

You don’t have to respond to everything at the speed it arrives.

That can be difficult to remember when emails, texts, requests, responsibilities and notifications are coming at us all day long.

When everything feels urgent, everything can begin to feel equally important.

But it isn’t.

Before deciding what to do next, try regulating first.

Take one slow breath and ask:

What is truly urgent?
What is important but can wait?
What feels urgent because someone else wants it now?
What doesn’t need my energy at all?

This is why State comes before Strategy in the Intentional Calm Method™.

The state we’re in affects the choices we make.

Calm doesn’t eliminate what needs to be done. It gives us a clearer place from which to decide what deserves our attention.

Return to Center 🌅

September can feel like someone flipped a switch.

Back to schedules.
Back to commitments.
Back to routines.
Back to go, go, go.

But here's your reminder:

You don't have to match the pace of everything around you.

Being grounded doesn't mean life isn't busy.
It means knowing how to come back to yourself while it is.

So sometime today, pause.
Put both feet on the floor.
Take one slow breath.

And ask:

What would help me feel more grounded right now?

Then take one small step toward it.
This week's Weekly Experience is waiting for you:
