Many of you already know us – our entire staff is active in the local community and we have been providing hands-on physical therapy for the members in the City of South Lyon and surrounding area for several years. Maintaining community character and prosperity is very important to us here at Brostrom Physical Therapy. Besides our outstanding Physical Therapist team and the exceptional staff that greets you when walking through our doors and patiently works with you on insurance matters, there are three major differences between our clinic and those in the area:
*We are privately/locally owned and operated. We take care of everything here.
*All therapy is performed by a licensed Therapist.
*Our treatment rooms are private. At Brostrom Physical Therapy, we strive to provide an exceptional therapy experience in a personal setting and specialize in treating a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries, including the use of the world-renowned McKenzie Method. You can expect a commitment to your physical rehabilitation needs, all by local staff and local owners. We will help you with every step of your therapy needs, from assisting with insurance benefits to developing a personalized plan of care and treatment goals. If therapy is required for neurological disorders all the way down to the toes, we’d love to treat you!

This October, we're proud to recognize Yvonne Henrikson, LMT, one of our talented massage therapists who is certified in Lymphatic Drainage Therapy.

Lymphatic drainage can be a valuable component of wellness and recovery for individuals affected by breast cancer treatment, helping support the body's natural lymphatic system and reduce swelling when appropriate as part of a comprehensive care plan.

Yvonne is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care and helping clients feel supported throughout their healing journey. Her specialized training allows her to offer gentle, effective treatment tailored to each individual's needs and goals.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we honor the strength of survivors, remember those we've lost, and support everyone currently facing the challenges of breast cancer. 💗

🌟 October's Staff Spotlight: Carsten Fiedler 🌟

We're proud to spotlight Carsten Fiedler, whose unique blend of international training, clinical expertise, and compassionate care makes him a valued member of our team.

Born and raised in a small town in Germany, Carsten began his healthcare journey studying Physical Therapy at the Vogtland Akademie in Plauen. Throughout his career, he has worked with individuals facing neurological, developmental, and post-surgical challenges, developing a deep appreciation for personalized, patient-centered care.

Carsten has continued expanding his expertise through advanced certifications, including:
✅ Certified Myoreflex Therapist (CMT-MRT)
✅ PINO Kinesiology Taping Certified
✅ Rehabilitation Sports Therapist
✅ Biomolecular Coach
✅ Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)

After relocating to the United States in 2017, Carsten completed the licensing process and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2021. Since then, he has been helping patients throughout the South Lyon area improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall wellness.

What sets Carsten apart is his holistic approach to treatment. By combining European rehabilitation principles, advanced manual therapy techniques, and a commitment to lifelong learning, he strives to help every client move better, feel better, and achieve their personal health goals.

🍂 A Heartfelt Thank You to Ryan Pawloski & An Exciting Welcome to Izzy de Castro! 🍂

As many of our patients know, Ryan P.'s last day with Brostrom Physical Therapy will be October 1.

💙 While we're certainly sad to see Ryan go, we're incredibly grateful for the lasting impact he has made on our clinic, our team, and the patients he has served throughout the years.

Ryan's contributions extended far beyond patient care. He helped strengthen our clinical programs, improve our processes, embrace new technologies, support compliance and quality initiatives, and mentor countless team members along the way. His leadership, expertise, and willingness to invest in others have helped shape who we are today and have left our clinic stronger than when he joined us.

👏 Please join us in thanking Ryan for his years of dedication and wishing him continued success as he begins an exciting new chapter in healthcare technology.
