Lindsey Foreman Wellness Functional Medicine Health Coach helping women find the root cause of gut & hormone dysfunction

One of my favorite changes I’ve made with hormone testing in my practice is using the Mira tracker!

I still love the DUTCH test for certain things, but being able to see how hormones fluctuate throughout the month instead of relying on a single day of testing has been SO helpful.

Mira tracks 4 key hormones:
✨ Estrogen (E3G)
✨ LH
✨ FSH
✨ Progesterone (PdG)

I especially love it for women navigating fertility, perimenopause, PCOS, and irregular cycles.

Hormones are constantly changing, and a single lab draw doesn’t always give us the information we’re looking for.

I’ve been using Mira myself and with my patients, and I love being able to actually see those patterns throughout the month!

It’s not a replacement for every type of hormone testing, but it’s a great tool to have.

Comment MIRA and I’ll send you my fact sheet with more information! ❤️

Eating healthy doesn’t have to mean shopping exclusively at Whole Foods or spending a fortune on groceries. 🙌🏼

As a functional medicine NP (and a busy mom), I’m all about finding simple swaps and nutrient-dense staples that are affordable, accessible, and realistic for everyday life.

These are 10 of my favorite Walmart finds that I keep coming back to for easy meals, snacks, and feeding a family without blowing the grocery budget.

Because supporting your health doesn’t have to be complicated—or super expensive. 🤍

Save this for your next Walmart run & send it to a friend who’s trying to eat healthier on a budget!

Low ferritin is one of the most overlooked causes of fatigue, brain fog, hair shedding, exercise intolerance, and heart-racing symptoms — especially in women.

Many lab ranges label ferritin as “normal” even when levels are far below what your body actually needs to feel well. In clinical practice, many women begin experiencing symptoms long before anemia appears on a CBC. That means you can feel exhausted, short of breath, and mentally foggy while your labs are still marked “normal.”

Supporting healthy iron stores is about more than just taking an iron supplement. We also need to evaluate:

• Root causes of depletion (heavy cycles, gut infections, pregnancy, gut absorption issues, diet)
• Proper iron forms and dosing
• Cofactors like vitamin A, copper, magnesium and protein intake
• Ongoing monitoring to safely restore optimal levels

If you’ve been told your labs are “fine” but you still feel drained, it may be worth taking a closer look at ferritin.

Women with hormone, gut, and mold-related symptoms — meet your new favorite gentle detox support.

Now you can make your meals work for your liver and digestion instead of against it.

A few easy ways to support healthy bile flow:

🌱Add bitter greens like arugula or dandelion to meals
🥚Prioritize choline-rich foods like egg yolks and salmon
🍵Use herbs like ginger, turmeric, milk thistle, and artichoke regularly

Bile is essential for carrying excess hormones, toxins, mold byproducts, and cholesterol out of the body. But it also has to be moving properly and have the right viscosity to do its job effectively.

When bile gets sluggish or thick, detox slows down — which can contribute to bloating, constipation, estrogen dominance symptoms, headaches, skin issues, and poor fat digestion. Not to mention contribute to issues like small intestinal bacterial overgrowth!

Healthy detox is less about harsh cleanses and more about supporting the systems your body already uses every single day.

There’s nothing more frustrating than eating “healthy” and still feeling bloated

If you want your gut to stop reacting to everything you eat, this is the approach I’d recommend to every woman trying to heal her digestion

And here’s why:

Most people jump straight to high fiber → this overwhelms the gut

A sensitive gut needs time to adapt

Slowly increasing fiber helps reduce bloating + improve digestion

Simple fiber foods to start adding in:
* Chia seeds
* Oats
* Kiwi
* Berries
* Sweet potato
* Lentils
* Avocado

This is how you get to more regular digestion, less bloating, and better energy

It’s simple, sustainable, and works with your body

Be sure to save this the next time you’re trying to “eat healthier” but your gut isn’t on board
