What's so great about Arkay's outings?

Our groups love going on a variety of outings, and the best part is that our participants help choose where we go!

Whether we are exploring the Detroit Institute of Arts to build art appreciation or checking out other local spots, getting out helps everyone get a little bit of exercise, develop social skills, and build confidence.

Even better, almost all of our community outings are now free for everyone, making it easy to enjoy a wide range of activities without any cost.

Arkay’s Employment Services Meet and Greet is coming up WEDNESDAY at 11:30 at 1280 Biddle in Wyandotte.

Come learn how Arkay Incorporated helps people with disabilities find and keep meaningful jobs.
Schools, agencies, and local businesses are all welcome.

Staff Spotlight: Congratulations to all of our staff who received perfect attendance awards for this quarter!

​We also want to recognize Lashay Hurn from Crossing for coming up with the winning name for our new PCE database, which is now officially called BRIDGE.

We loved coming together at our all-staff meeting on October 16 to celebrate milestones like this, hand out attendance awards, and connect as a team. The day was filled with exciting updates about our upcoming building move and new technology, alongside training on conflict de-escalation, dementia awareness, and cybersecurity.

Change is an essential part of growth, and we look forward to making exciting program updates and moving into our new space over the upcoming months as we progress into the future.

Thank you to everyone for showing up every single day and making our mission possible!

🎃 Volunteer to host a trunk! 🎃

Guardian/family sign-up for Trunk-or-Treat has been extended
to Friday, October 22 at 12:00 PM.

Background checks will be completed for all volunteers.

We are accepting donations of chips, cookies, soda, individual bags of candy, and other treats or gift card donations to be used for the costume prizes.
