💙 Meet the Person Behind the Probe: Tess! 💙

For Ultrasound Awareness Month, we’re putting the spotlight on Tess, our sonographer here at Spencer Imaging Center! You’ve seen her behind the ultrasound machine, now get to know a little more about the person holding the probe. 😊

💬 How long have you been a sonographer?
20 years

💬 What inspired you to choose ultrasound?
When I was in high school my sister had a friend that was going into ultrasound and I thought it would be fun to look at babies everyday! Little did I know ultrasound is so much more.

💬 What do you enjoy most about being a sonographer?
I love the variety of exams I get to perform. There is never a day that I do the same thing!

💬 What types of ultrasound exams do you perform at Spencer Imaging Center?
We perform OB, Abdomen, Vascular, and small parts. We also have our fun peek a boo packages for pregnant ladies that can come in and check in on baby throughout their pregnancy and also get 3D/4D pictures toward the end of their pregnancy.

💬 What is your most-used phrase during an exam?
When scanning a non-OB patient many people (often times males) say, "I hope you don't find a baby in there!" I respond back with, "We would both be famous!"

Happy Boss’s Day to Shanna! 💙

Today we’re giving a little extra recognition to the person who helps keep Spencer Imaging Center running and our crew on track!

There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes, and we appreciate the time, energy, and care you put into our team and our patients. Thank you for answering our questions, helping us work through challenges, and keeping up with all the moving pieces.

We’re thankful for your support, the laughs along the way, and everything you do that doesn’t always get a public thank-you. We hope you know how much you’re appreciated today and every day!

"Well, I think I made the Christmas card list!" 😂🎄

If you've come in nervous about your MRI, you might have heard Chad say this once you're done and realize you made it through! Last week, a patient took him up on it and stopped by with a Christmas card and ornament! It was the sweetest surprise and made our day.

We're lucky to have Chad. He does everything he can to help patients feel comfortable. We also have the best patients!

Looks like you really did make the list this time, Chad! 🎁

🩷 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🩷

This month is an important reminder of the value of early detection, routine screening, and knowing your breast health.

At Spencer Imaging Center, we’re proud to have been providing breast MRI right here in Spencer for over a year! Breast MRI can be an important tool for certain patients, including those at higher risk for breast cancer or when additional imaging is recommended. And when it comes to specialized imaging, experience matters. Our MRI technologist, Chad, brings years of experience performing breast MRI exams to every patient we see.
