Five things we actually buy when we are trying to keep carbs low without making life miserable.

1. Quest chips
2. Superlyte
3. Kevin's meals
4. Joseph pitas
5. Palmini

None of these gets a free pass just because the package says “keto.”

We still check the serving size, calories, carbs and protein.

The point of low-carb swaps is not to eat unlimited amounts of diet food.

The point is to make your normal life easier to fit into your plan.

Save this for your next grocery run.

Want a Publix version next? Walmart? Aldi? Tell us.

You did not ruin anything.

One off-plan meal is not the problem.

The “well, I already screwed up, so I might as well keep going” spiral is the problem.

Catch it early.

At Orion, our short reset approach is simple: go back to pure proteins like meat, seafood and eggs, leave the carbs out
temporarily, hydrate and get yourself back into your routine.

No punishment.
No starving.
No waiting until Monday.

Just stop the spiral while it is still one meal.

Then keep going.

Follow the nutrition plan your clinician gave you; individual needs can vary.

Getting to goal is not the part where we disappear.

Please do not hit your goal weight, stop everything overnight and hope your appetite never notices.

Maintenance deserves a plan too.

Depending on your program, that may mean talking with your prescriber about whether medication should continue, change
or stop, while we also work on calories, carbs, appetite, routines and what to do if weight starts creeping back.

The goal is not just losing the weight.

It is having a plan for what comes next.

Before you stop your program, talk to us.

We would much rather help you transition than meet again after twenty pounds came back.

Individual medication decisions should be made with the prescribing clinician.

Low carb does not mean you have to break up with every food you have ever loved.

It usually means learning the swap.

Pasta → low-carb pasta
Rice → cauliflower rice or another lower-carb option
Bread → low-carb bread
Tortilla → low-carb wrap

The goal is not to build a diet so strict that you can follow it for twelve heroic days.

The goal is to build meals you can repeat in real life.

Carbs are not illegal.

They are just very good at sneaking in.

Swipe for some of the swaps we actually use.

Drive-thru Friday: Chick-fil-A.

Because “I had to grab something fast” is not a moral failure.

It is Friday with errands.

Swipe for the Orion-friendly orders we would actually choose, plus the little modifications that make the biggest difference.

And yes, we are talking about the sauces too.

Those tiny packets are very talented.

Save this before the next drive-thru run.

Which chain should be next?

The scale is being dramatic again.

You can do everything “right” and still see the number jump.

Day-to-day weight can move because of:
• sodium
• hydration
• food still in your digestive system
• bowel movements
• menstrual-cycle changes
• inflammation after a hard workout

That does not mean all of that change is body fat.

This is why we care about the trend, not one rude little number on one random morning.

If something looks off for more than a few weigh-ins, then we look closer.

One weigh-in is information. It is not a verdict.
