Never thought I’d write these words:

“Butt Bomb”
“Pain in the A** Wipes”
“Hemorrhoid Relief”

Butt lol it’s a real thing for many folks (yes totally meant that extra “t”)!

If you’re one who suffers from hemorrhoids then you’ll want to try at least one of these remedies! Let me know your testimony when you do🙌

Hemorrhoids happen for a variety of reasons like:
- Straining during a bowel movement
- Chronic Constipation
- Pregnancy

The real root issue can be eating processed foods which cause issues in the digestive track which can cause constipation etc.

Making sure you are eating a colorful plate, fibrous foods, and hydrating well are key (1/2 your body weight in water)

Add in some digestive enzymes and probiotics and you can fortify your microbiome for a healthier gut and stool (I have a good lead for enzymes and probiotics too).

Why can pregnant women get hemorrhoids? Constipation is one factor, but they can happen due to the uterus pushing down on veins in the re**al area.

The great thing, you can use oils to help & heal!

Essential Oils are Safe in Pregnancy!

Where you go to get advice on essential oils and essential oils companies is important.

When I was researching if essential oils are safe in pregnancy, I great book I read was, “Essential Oils for Pregnancy Birth & Babies” by Stephanie Fritz LM, CPM aka. The Essential Midwife has had a successful midwifery practice since 2000. Her “TEM Community” FB group is also a wealth of information.

As a wholistic doula, I believe it is important for mommas to know some good practices when it comes to essential oil usage besides diffusing.

Here are some initial tips that have been a blessing to other mommas. Moving forward I’ll try to have more posts on EO’s related to pregnancy, infertility aids, labor & delivery, newborns & even miscarriage care.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve didn’t quite turn out the way we planned…
-people we know still getting sick
-missing our Christmas Eve service
(Funny story on that)
-connecting with friends for an impromptu meal
-having a hard conversation that can’t be resolved in one chat on Christmas Eve

I know what I would do for a “DO OVER,” but at the end of the day we not only accomplish a lot we spoke life into each other.

Christmas Eve there was LIFE in the process of delivery (even though historical dates do not point to Dec. 24 or 25th for Christ’s birth).

I can imagine Mary having contractions and her body preparing to give birth to her baby…a baby who would be called, Jesus, the Savior of the world, King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

God humbly, vulnerably, and lovingly sent His son as a baby. Jesus grew up, died for our sins, and rose again on the third day, conquering sin and death so we can live!

We now get to receive Him and welcome Him into our lives. We get to now be His hands and feet to the world and serve others in humility and love.

Lord, this Advent season may my heart and mind be prepared for Your plans in my life and May I also prepare for your second coming. -Amen

I love the caption has on this post (for some reason couldn’t get it to post here).

The essence of the post was that the greatest gift we can gift people is the emotional health God desires for us all. (And boy could I unpack what means for a bit)!

As Eric and I have been working through ‘s mentorship program we have been discovering the joy of letting God heal our own hearts through Transformation Prayer Ministry (TPM).

We have seen areas of anger become places of forgiveness, we have seen hurt become places of understanding, and sadness encountered with God’s truth not our own idea of what is true.

I could not recommend enough for prayer sessions and retreats, but also as you grow in what being an emotionally healthy Christian and Leader really is.

Blessing on both these ministries🙌

Heli… heli…Helichrysum what?

Helichrysum is an essential oil that helps with all things bumps, bruising, and even bloody noses.

My husband can get really bad nose bleeds so by golly I tried it and… it worked! We didn’t have to sit with an ice pack on for an hour!

Apply Helichrysum to the area of need! That’s it.

Helichrysum also have antimicrobial and antiviral properties in it along with being an expectorant 👍

Copaiba is helpful for teething babies!

How to use:
Teething—With a clean finger, lightly touch the top of your Copaiba bottle to get a scant amount of oil on your finger, apply directly to gums.

Copaiba is fantastic for relief for those achy joints and muscles too.Simply apply where it hurts! I personally use it internally to help with inflammation as well.

Copaiba - Pregnancy Constipation
-5 drops in 10ml roller bottle
-Fill with carrier oil
-Apply over abdomen, circular strokes in clockwise motion is best.

What are you Thankful for?

There are many “things” I can be thankful for, but am I thankful for the stuff that is creating character development in me?

We had our first of the month church wide prayer gathering last night, and it was so refreshing! I was reminded by two passages that thankfulness does not always come from the best of times. I can give thanks, to the Lord, in the middle of times that seem confusing or where I am waiting on Him for the next step. He is faithful in the middle of our storms.

Romans 5:2-5 ESV

[2] Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. [3] Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, [4] and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, [5] and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Lamentations 3:19-26 ESV

[19] Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall! [20] My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me. [21] But this I call to mind,
and therefore I have hope: [22] The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; [23] they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. [24] “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” [25] The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. [26] It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.

All that to say, I am thankful for this season of work that has been challenging, but I am thankful for opportunities that are down the road!

Thoughts from a weary heart❤️

Through this week I am reminded of a few things:

1. It is IMPORTANT to take care of yourself under stress (and remember stress and can be good and sad).
- Fuel yourself with a good multivitamins (I have a few I trust if you need a recommendation).
- Drink your water! I really needed to be reminded of that this weekend.

2. Handle the issues as they come, but REMEMBER you’ll need to DEBRIEF once the crisis or issue is over (you can stuff it too, but it will just come up later). Talking with trusted counselors/friends can help sort out what’s important to grieve and what isn’t your burden to carry.

3. Choosing a WISE decision even when I desire something different won’t always feel good.
-We chose to terminate our house contract this weekend. It was hard, but wisdom in light of impending issues with the house.
-The choice to hope and wait for the right timing is always better than forcing something to happen.

We wait patiently, we hope well, we trust in a good God, and LOVE unconditionally❤️

Confession...

I haven’t worn mascara for most of COVID. Mine finally ran out and I didn’t have a legit reason to buy more (I work from home and don’t have to looked dolled up on screen). But if I’m honest, I don’t miss putting it on.

There have been quite a few things that have been nice since quarantine. A slower pace of life that welcomes contemplation and quiet❤️

Yesterday was a different!

It almost felt like a Friday, but it had so much breakthrough out of a harder few weeks...Praise the Lord! Grateful for cousins who met up for coffee dates and reaching a major goal in my business🙌

The past few months have been hard, sweet, rejuvenating and frustrating. I’ve done personal development that was uncomfortable, I’ve done work things I didn’t want to do, but I have also seen myself grow. And while I’ve been growing forward I also still do the mundane things like laundry at the laundry mat🙂
Do the mundane things with purpose... it is important!
