I haven’t been able to stop thinking about something that happened last week. 💛
I was at my own counseling session, being guided through hypnotherapy, when I was asked to imagine a special place.
Normally, I find myself somewhere beautiful in nature.
But this time was different.
I was in my new healing space.
Except I wasn’t the version of myself I am today. I was much older, sitting in a chair by the big window, looking around the room.
And I had this overwhelming feeling that I was looking back on a lifetime of people who had come through those doors.
All the clients I had held space for. All the stories I’d listened to. The tears, the laughter, the healing, the connections, and the countless moments shared within those walls.
It was as though I was sitting there at the end of a long, beautiful chapter, just taking it all in.
I don’t know how else to explain it, but it genuinely felt like I had been given a little glimpse into my future. 🥹
I haven’t stopped thinking about it since.
Maybe it was a future vision. Maybe it was my subconscious showing me something I deeply hope for. Either way, it meant so much to me.
I’ve already had the opportunity to hold a couple of Reiki sessions in this new space, and I can’t even explain how special it feels.
There’s something about knowing how much love went into building it, how long I’ve dreamed of it, and now having this beautiful image of my older self sitting there, reflecting on all the lives that have passed through.
It makes me even more excited for everything that’s still to come.
One of my clients said those beautiful arches windows remind her or a portal. And I believe that’s exactly why they are.
I hope I’m lucky enough to grow old in this little space. To spend years welcoming people in, watching them grow, celebrating their breakthroughs, and being trusted with little pieces of their journeys.
And maybe someday, many years from now, I’ll find myself sitting in that chair by the window, remembering this exact moment when it was all just beginning.
How beautiful would that be? And what life to have lived.
