We found an interesting way to ask for your help based on your actual age! Podari.Life is taking part in MyGivingCircle's "Donate Your Age" campaign: you give as many dollars as you are years old. 35 years old - $35. 60 - $60. Simple, and very meaningful for us! It's a big deal for a few reasons.

The money comes straight to Podari.Life. We use it for medicines that are hard to get (Defibrotide, Fasturtec, Cidofovir, etc.), for searching international registries when a child needs a bone marrow donor, and for extra training for doctors.

MyGivingCircle will double donations on Friday, October 16. The catch is that the match only covers the first $1,000 donated on the whole platform, not per charity, so it will run out quickly. And every dollar you give also counts as a vote for us in their December grants. The top 20 charities in the US and Canada share $48,000, and every charity that reaches 15,000 votes gets a share of an extra $15,000.

Honestly, we try to use every chance to raise money, even when it's $5 or $10 or $20 at a time. If you sign up for a monthly donation, you'll get extra votes for us every month! Small donations add up, and right now we really need them.

And we always appreciate direct donations on 🔗 podari.life, or you can help in other ways by starting your own fundraiser for us - for your birthday, a run, whatever. Just message us and we'll help. And voting is free - you can vote once a week.

When people talk about what saves children with cancer, they usually mean pills and equipment. A lot of it is actually information, and whether the doctors can get to it in time. Sequencing a child's genome takes a few days now. Reading it is the hard part.

One genome holds millions of genetic variants, and maybe one of them is why the child has leukemia, or an immune disease, or a syndrome nobody has been able to name. Finding mutations is easy. Working out which one is doing the damage is not.

VarSome is what the geneticists use for that. It gathers what the literature says about a given variant, how likely it is to be harmful, and whether the same change has shown up in a patient somewhere else in the world. The free version caps out at a hundred searches a day and leaves out most of the databases a diagnosis depends on — professional work needs VarSome Premium, and that is what we are raising money for.

The team that uses it is at the Dmitry Rogachev Center in Moscow, the biggest children's hospital of its kind. Over the past year they sent genetic reports to more than 1,000 families.

The paid subscription has to be renewed, and Podari.Life cannot do it without you. Whatever you are able to give goes straight to the doctors who use it.

❤️ Today is the International Day of Charity, so we are asking to help us raise money. Please donate, and share this post if you can. Thank you for staying with us! ❤️

Podari.Life 2026 First Half Results

Your donations drive our mission. In the first six months of 2026, your contributions were directed to four critical areas to help children beat cancer:

⚡️Unregistered Medications: $154,530. Your donations procured vital drugs - including Defitelio, Fasturtec, Methotrexate, Cidofovir, and Daunoblastina - that are essential for treatment but unavailable locally.

⚡️Treatment Abroad: $527,382. Your contributions funded complex, life-saving medical procedures for children unable to access specialized care close to their home.

⚡️Helping Doctors: $11,908. Donor support financed continuing medical education and conference participation to build stronger expertise among pediatric oncology staff.

⚡️Cancer Awareness Outreach: $4,878. Your donations sustained public information campaigns focused on early detection and available medical resources.

Thank you for your generosity. These achievements are only possible with you. Please consider making a donation today to help us continue this vital work and save more young lives.

Today is World Blood Donor Day.

🩸 When we talk about children with cancer and blood disorders, we often talk about medicines. But there is something else without which treatment would be impossible: donated blood and its components.

🩸 Chemotherapy destroys cancer cells, but it also temporarily suppresses bone marrow function. As a result, blood counts drop, weakness develops, and the risk of serious bleeding and infections increases. On average, a child undergoing intensive treatment needs about six transfusions every month.

🩸 These may include red blood cell transfusions for severe anemia or platelet transfusions to prevent dangerous bleeding. Sometimes granulocytes are needed as well — specialized blood cells that help fight infections. For children with little or no immune protection, granulocyte transfusions can provide life-saving support during the most difficult stages of treatment.

🩸 Donated blood is irreplaceable. Despite all the advances of modern science, there is still no true substitute for it.

🩸 But blood is needed for far more than pediatric cancer care. Every day, it is required for patients recovering from surgery, people injured in accidents, mothers giving birth, individuals with blood disorders, and many others. Thousands upon thousands of people rely on blood transfusions every day.

🩸 Many people assume that blood donation is risky or comes with significant restrictions. In reality, most donors tolerate the process very well. It takes very little time, all equipment is single-use, and there are far fewer medical restrictions than most people think.

🩸 You do not need to wait for a special occasion to help. Blood can be donated in almost any city, at a time that is convenient for you.

🩸 We cannot ask you to donate blood for a specific child supported by our foundation. But we can ask you to become a donor wherever you live. Children who need blood transfusions live in every country, and they, too, need people willing to lend a helping hand. One day, your blood may help someone make it through treatment and reach recovery.

❤️ Thank you to everyone who has already become a donor. Because of you, thousands of people receive a chance at treatment, recovery, and life every single day.

One of the first medications we began funding in our 11-year history is Defitelio. We have written about it before: Defitelio is a practically irreplaceable drug used to treat life-threatening complications after bone marrow transplantation. Today, on June 1st—International Children's Day and Podari.Life’s birthday—we are asking for your help in purchasing this medicine.

One vial of Defitelio costs about $660, and a full treatment course for a single child requires 20–40 vials, sometimes even more. That means helping just one patient can cost over $13,000.

Thanks to your support, we have been able to provide Defitelio to many children over the years. Many of them have successfully overcome illnesses such as thalassemia, acute myeloid leukemia, aplastic anemia, and other serious conditions. In 2025 alone, we purchased $247,000 worth of Defitelio. In 2026, we have already funded another course of treatment for one of our patients.

This June, we need to pay for 40 vials of Defitelio to help a young girl, S., who is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia and facing serious complications after her transplant.

Every vial of Defitelio is more than medicine. It is a chance to overcome a dangerous complication and continue the journey toward recovery.

💛 Please help us give this chance to children who need it.

You can support us not only with a donation, but also by organizing a fundraiser among friends, hosting a charity picnic, running a workshop, celebrating a birthday with purpose, or arranging any other event in support of the foundation’s patients.

🎗️Together, let's help kids fight childhood cancer.

Among the medicines children receive thanks to our donors are not only Defitelio and Foscavir. Sometimes there is an urgent need for other drugs as well. This year, for example, methotrexate was urgently needed — one of the main anticancer medicines from the antimetabolite group and one of the key drugs used in the treatment of osteosarcoma in children. Its action is based on a unique ability to “trick” cancer cells: the drug stands in for the substance they need to divide, preventing tumor cells from multiplying and triggering their programmed death.

Ten-year-old Vladislav and sixteen-year-old Nikita have bone cancer. It all began with ordinary injuries and bruises to the knees, the kind boys often get from hockey, training, and sports games. At some point, both of them developed pain near the knee, but as time went on, the pain did not go away and treatment did not help, so doctors suspected a more serious cause. In the summer of 2025, both boys received an exact diagnosis — conventional osteosarcoma. From that moment, their fight against this aggressive disease began with modern treatment methods, including a protocol with methotrexate. But for osteosarcoma, a special form of the drug is needed: a high-dose version for intravenous administration. To ensure timely treatment, Meds4Kids managed to purchase more than 60 vials of the medicine for over $37,000.

Since February, Vladislav and Nikita have been receiving high-dose methotrexate treatment at the Dmitry Rogachev Center. Your donations made it possible to buy and deliver the medicines to the children on time. There is still a long treatment ahead, as well as knee endoprosthetic surgery, but both boys have a strong chance of recovery. More medication will also be needed for all of this, and therefore more funding to purchase it. Thank you for your help, and we sincerely hope for your continued support.

🩺 On March 30, we celebrate National Doctor's Day.

Physicians give patients their futures back — with skill, dedication, and unwavering belief. We often talk about the importance of life-saving treatments, but the truth is simple: no medication would heal a child without a doctor. It is their expertise and care that turn medicine into a miracle.

For over a decade, our charity has been proud to stand behind them. What started 11 years ago as an idea to fund their access to professional journals, conferences, and hospital libraries has grown into a vital resource for oncology specialists. We believe that keeping doctors at the cutting edge of global medical breakthroughs is the best investment we can make.
The best part? This entire program costs no more than $50,000 annually, and we are incredibly happy to keep it going.

Over these ten years, we’ve received so much incredible feedback from the medical community. Throughout this year, we plan to share those stories and testimonials with you. Stay tuned to hear directly from the doctors who are changing lives every day! ❤️

Today is International Childhood Cancer Day. 🎗️

As we mark this day, we’ve been looking back at the incredible journey we’ve taken together.

To everyone who has stood with us over the years: we want to show you exactly what your support has built. Because of you, we reached a massive milestone in 2025: Nearly $800,000 in total aid provided to children in need.

Your kindness laid the foundation for our most ambitious work yet:

🎗️CAR-T Cell Therapy: In 2025, we began funding this cutting-edge treatment for children who have exhausted all other options. This mission continues in 2026 - right now, 16-year-old Ilya is on his way to receive this life-saving care.

🎗️Meds4Kids: Our flagship program is still going strong. We’ve already secured Defitelio for Sergey ($15,820) this year and are working urgently to provide vital medications for Kira and Semen.

🎗️Doctor Support: We continue to invest in the experts who save these lives. In 2025, we spent approximately $47,000 on medical conferences and professional subscriptions, and we plan to provide the same level of support this year.

✨Thank you for being the hope these families need. Together, we are changing the future of childhood cancer care.

One of the most effective ways to support us is through matching donations: the company you work for can double your donation to us!

Your support has already helped children like Andemirkan, who will be 10 on December 25 and is fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia since May. Thanks to timely support, the medicines he needed were fully covered — a critical step in protecting him during his treatment journey.

How does it work? If your employer supports matching donations, simply select Podari.Life Inc (EIN #47-4165470) in your corporate system. Your company will match your donation, and the full amount will go toward purchasing life-saving medicines for other children who need them now.

Please share this opportunity with your colleagues. Every child who needs medicine should receive it — and receive it on time!
