The pandemic has been difficult - a statement that has been echoed by billions of people around the world. So many industries - and thereby their people - have been affected in many ways since the beginning of 2020.

Education has been one of them. Significantly so. With many classrooms going fully virtual, students were confined to their limited spaces while learning about the wonders of the world. Even today, many classrooms across the world are still virtual, and some have taken the hybrid route and very few have returned to normalcy.

The Manufacturing and Technology Research Consortium (MTRC) and us faced this same problem last year when we had to make a decision about our annual summer robotics camp.

We decided to rise up to the challenge and transform our summer robotics camp to a completely virtual experience, and used this as an opportunity for students to develop robots that could potentially solve problems for people affected by the pandemic. Long story short, the 2020 Regional Summer Robotics Camp was a phenomenal success, and it proved the benefits of SnappyXO Design in teaching robotics in a scalable manner.

This year, MTRC expanded the regional summer robotics camp and held another camp for students all across the state of New York. This year, too, the camps were successful. Students came up with all kinds of creative solutions to help the world using robotics.

Using SnappyXO.
