“Mindfulness” feels like “meditation”?—No. | You’re mixing them… and your brain keeps “wandering” for 10 minutes.
Try this “10-minute Mindfulness → 2-minute Meditation” sequence.
For 10 minutes, we notice 3 sensations (sight, sound, body sensations—whatever’s available). No fixing. Just observing.
Then we switch for 2 minutes to one anchor (breath or sound). When the mind drifts, we add a gentle label like “wandering,” then return to the anchor.
Why this works: mindfulness trains attention with broader awareness, while meditation trains staying with a single target. Mixing the two blurs the brain’s job description.
