Everything's green. Claims are moving. Collections look strong.

So what's next?

A great dashboard doesn't just tell you how your agency is performing. It helps you decide what to do with that information.

Where should your team focus its attention? Which trends are worth watching? What can today's performance tell you about tomorrow?

The right analytics help agencies prioritize their next steps, anticipate challenges, and make decisions with confidence.

That's the power of Velocity: turning revenue cycle data into clear priorities and actionable insights.

It started with one unworked claim...

Then came the missing authorizations. The unresolved denials. The documentation nobody could find.

Some horror stories don't need a haunted house. Just a claims queue.

And while these issues might not seem so scary on their own, letting them pile up can turn into a real revenue cycle nightmare.

The good news? A little proactive follow-up can keep your agency from becoming the main character in the next RCM horror story.

There's no column on a dashboard for the moment a daughter finally exhales because she feels more confident caring for her mom.

Or the pride on a patient's face when they show their therapist something they couldn't do last week.

We measure a lot in healthcare. And we should. Quality, outcomes, and performance all matter.

But some of the most meaningful parts of care don't fit neatly into a report.

In her conversation on Home Health Revealed, Raianne Melton reminds us that Age-Friendly Care starts with understanding what matters most to the person receiving it.

Because behind every metric is a person with their own goals, priorities, and definition of a good day.

It's 4:59 PM. Your laptop is about to close. Your claims, however, are still very much on the clock.

Some are moving right along. Others might be waiting on documentation, payer responses, or a little extra attention.

The question is: Do you know which is which?

Your team shouldn't have to spend the last hour of the day digging through spreadsheets, chasing down updates, or piecing together reports just to understand where things stand.

With the right visibility, you can identify what needs attention, prioritize the next steps, and head into tomorrow with a clearer picture of your revenue cycle.

Because knowing where your claims stand shouldn't be a 4:59 PM mystery.

“Some pain.”

“Doing better.”

“Continue current plan.”

Your coder can read the words. They shouldn’t have to read between the lines.

Specific documentation gives coding teams the information they need to accurately reflect the patient’s condition and the care being provided. When important details are vague or missing, there’s only so much a coder can do with what’s on the page.

Good coding starts with a clear story.

And that takes collaboration between the clinicians documenting the care and the coding teams translating that documentation accurately.

Accountability gets a bad reputation when it starts to feel more like waiting to get in trouble.

But healthy accountability looks different.

People know what’s expected of them. They understand what they own. They feel comfortable raising a hand when something isn’t working. And when a mistake happens, the goal is to learn from it, not create more fear around the next decision.

That distinction matters when you’re trying to build a team that communicates well, takes ownership, and actually wants to solve problems.

Chris Taylor of Taylor’d Growth talks about accountability, trust, leadership, and the organizational issues hiding beneath the surface in this episode of Home Health Revealed.

There’s something satisfying about hitting submit. That little checkmark makes it feel like the job is done.

For a claim, though, there’s still plenty of road ahead.

Once it goes out the door, visibility still matters. Is it moving through the payer’s process? Is something holding it up? Does someone need to follow up? And most importantly, is it making its way toward payment?

Strong billing isn’t just about getting claims submitted. It’s about knowing what happens next and making sure nothing quietly gets left behind.

Because submitted is a step. Paid is the goal.
