Have you been diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and continue to experience symptoms?

Fort Bend Rheumatology Associates (FBRA) is currently inviting individuals to inquire about clinical research opportunities focused on lupus.

🔬 You may be a potential candidate if you:

🔹 Are between 18 and 75 years old
🔹 Have been diagnosed with SLE by a rheumatologist
🔹 Continue to experience lupus symptoms, such as painful or swollen joints or a lupus-related skin rash
🔹 Have positive lupus-related blood tests, such as ANA, anti-dsDNA, or anti-Smith antibodies
💙 Help Advance Lupus Research!

Clinical research plays an important role in advancing our understanding of lupus and evaluating potential treatment options.

Over age 50 with persistent pain in BOTH shoulders and the hip/pelvic area?

Fort Bend Rheumatology Associates is seeking individuals for evaluation for a Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) research study who are experiencing the following pattern of symptoms:

🔹 Pain in both shoulders AND the pelvic girdle (the area around the hips and buttocks) lasting more than 2 weeks without resolution

🔹 Profound, prolonged morning stiffness lasting more than 30 minutes

🔹 Limited shoulder movement, making it difficult to raise your arms or reach overhead

🔹 Limited hip range of motion, making it difficult to move your hips during activities such as getting dressed or getting out of a chair

If you are over 50 and this combination of symptoms describes what you are experiencing, contact the Fort Bend Rheumatology Associates Research Team to learn more about the PMR study and whether you may qualify.

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Fort Bend Rheumatology Associates!

Today, we recognize the hard work and dedication of the people who help make our communities stronger. We are especially grateful for our physicians, medical staff, and team members who work each day to provide compassionate care to our patients. 💙

As a reminder, our offices are closed today, Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen and resume normal business hours tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8.

We wish our patients, staff, and community a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable Labor Day! May you have the opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend time with those who matter most.
