Here are some forgiveness statements that can help you when you are struggling to forgive someone, even yourself!
🌱I forgive myself for believing there are some things you just cannot forgive.
🌱I forgive myself for believing that forgiving that person would be dangerous for me.
🌱 I forgive myself for thinking forgiving them would not hold them accountable.
🌱 I forgive myself for believing I can’t forgive them until they apologize for what they did.
🌱 I forgive myself for wanting them to suffer or pay a penalty for what they caused me.
🌱I forgive myself for any time I treated someone similarly to how this person has treated me.
🌱I give the other person permission to forgive me for not letting go of this.
🌱I give the other person permission to forgive me for keeping this alive and continuing to seek punishment for them for their actions.
🌱I release my justified anger for the pain they caused me and that opens massive space where God can compensate the wrongs done to me.
🌱 Without holding this anger, I am free to let go of the pain they caused and move forward with my life.
🌱I love and accept myself releasing this person and their actions. I am no longer holding a space for what they owe that they will never pay.
🌱 I let go of the the way I thought it would be and I accept the way it actually is.
