Her brows healed very light. She wanted them darker overall so I reworked both the hair strokes and shading.

She wanted to enhance her natural shape and avoid having to fill in her brows with makeup every day. The hair strokes will soften and blend in with her brow hair as they heal and settle in the skin.

I used dark brunette with a touch of milk chocolate to create the perfect color.

For those wondering what to expect after getting your brows tattooed, here’s a breakdown of what the healing process looks like and how to care for your new permanent makeup.

Brows will appear darkest right after the procedure and will soften and neutralize as they settle into the skin. Some clients experience scabbing, but most clients only encounter some flaking. It is important to not scratch, pick at, or remove these as that can affect color retention. Let them fall off naturally.

Antibacterial soap and moisturizing cream will be provided. For the first 4 days, you must wash and moisturize the brows 3-4 times per day to aid healing. For best results avoid sun exposure, heavy sweating, swimming, and cosmetics on the tattooed area until fully healed. Once healed, avoid excessive sun exposure without SPF and any harsh scrubs or peels on the brow area.

Brows are fully healed after 6-8 weeks. Touch ups can be booked after 8 weeks.

Check out these healed powder brow results! My mom came in for a touch up on her brows after 8 weeks. While they healed very well, they were a bit lighter than she (and I) would prefer, so I added some additional color to darken them and lock in the shape a bit better.

Powder brows are a great option if you fill in your brows with a brow pencil everyday. This style works well for clients with any amount of brow hair. It can create the illusion of a full brow or define the shape you already have.

What a lovely day for a combo brow! I had the honor of tattooing my mother in law today. She has quite a lot of brow hair but it is very light. The color will turn cooler and the hair strokes will soften as everything heals.

🫶 My first client at Golden Poppy Tattoo 🫶

Given her every day makeup, I chose to do a combination brow which has hair strokes at the front and shading throughout. This filled in the fronts and enhanced the shape that was already there. She was concerned about the right side being lower and less full in the front so I made sure to even them out when mapping the shape. The final result is very natural looking and will ensure she does not need to do her brow makeup every morning.
