Annandale Village is a community for adults with intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injuries, nestled on 55 Acres in Suwanee, Georgia. The mission of Annandale Village is to provide progressive life assistance to its special population so that they can maximize their abilities and maintain their independence in the least restrictive environment. Annandale Village offers both residential and non-residential programs and services that provide a balance of structure, freedom, encouragement, instruction and fulfillment. In addition to semi-independent living apartments and cottages, Annandale Village’s residential services include assisted living and skilled nursing care. Annandale also offers on-campus health services, educational programming, vocational training and job placement, and a vast array of community inclusion activities.
Founded in 1969 by Dr. and Mrs. Max Berry, a dedicated father and mother who wanted their daughter to have an opportunity to lead a life that reflected quality, self-worth, independence, and achievement, Annandale Village became a place where adults with intellectual disabilities could call home.
Thanks to continuous growth in each of Annandale’s first four decades, many significant milestones have been achieved in serving individuals with intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injuries. Today, Annandale Village serves over 180 individuals and is the only nonprofit in the state of Georgia to offer men and women with intellectual disabilities and acquired brain injuries a full continuum of service and care. Its budget is $9.4 million. With over 150 staff members and approximately 300 volunteers, Annandale Village provides a comprehensive range of programs designed to improve the quality of life of each individual served, according to his or her own unique needs and abilities.
