We are excited to welcome Teresa Klink to SUNY Upstate Medical University as our new Academic Emergency Management Coordinator!
Teresa brings extensive experience in healthcare emergency preparedness, emergency planning, incident command, training and exercises, and continuity planning. Most recently, she served as an Emergency Preparedness Program Manager at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she partnered with hospital leadership on emergency response planning, hazard vulnerability assessments, and emergency operations center activations. Her background also includes emergency planning and operational readiness work with National Grid, as well as public health response efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In her new role, Teresa will support preparedness initiatives, exercises, committees, projects, and planning efforts that strengthen resilience across Upstate, with a primary focus on our academic mission. Many of our colleagues will have the opportunity to work with Teresa as she becomes involved in emergency management, continuity, preparedness, and response activities throughout the organization.
Please join us in giving Teresa a warm Upstate welcome! We are thrilled to have her expertise, enthusiasm, and dedication as part of our Emergency Management team and the broader Upstate community.
