About this weekend…
I don’t think I have the tell how much I love and support this girl in everything she does. I hope that you can see that in my timeline pass present and future.
This girl went to her first homecoming with a date and nothing prepares Mom for a moment like that, but having my own support system definitely helps
This girl shows up with spike shoes on the golf course, Brooks Running shoes at medical health expos, and dance shoes at venues, volunteers at a Cancer Adult Center, and leads 4 year olds as they learn about the sea being parted…all within the span of three days. She’s one of the most hardest working teenagers I have ever come to encounter. She has a heart and a passion for serving others.
How could a mother not be proud… How could anyone not be proud… 🥹
As we tee up for golf postseason this week, I’m sure nerves and insecurities will bubble up, but staying The course has always been and will continue to be our strategy.
These are the moments that I say to myself, Lord, please keep me on this earth for a minimum of another 40 years. I will never get tired of being this girl’s cheerleader and advocate 📣

My Heart With Legs 💚💙
My bright spot even when it rains
Parenting isn’t easy not because my daughter isn’t easy to parent; but because current culture is always trying to convince her I’m too strict, instead of saying I’m wise. Current culture tries to convince her I’m odd instead of set apart. Current culture tries to convince her I’m criticizing her instead of directing her steps.
Current culture isn’t ready for this future Doctor because I got her back like a bra strap 😹
You may see my stories of parenting a teen while over 45 iykyk 😵‍💫😁 but it’s all in fun
I have my own dreams and goals and you’ll see them peak out occasionally here. But honestly my season is being a mom and the ultimate cheerleader 📣 not only to my daughter but to other female athletes. Women of color specifically yes, because that’s who we represent on the pavement, trails and greens. Essentially All women, because if one of us shines we pave the way for other women to ✨ shine
The only legacy I care about is how I carried out my mission as mom. That’s the title that will continue to build legacy

I can’t believe school starts back this week for my rising Junior 🥹🥲 I only have one good summer left with her where her total dependence relies on me… it’s bittersweet

R and I have been walking in the evenings and today we joined Tampa Black Hikers in a nearby neighborhood

It was a great time!
