Taking care of your breast health starts with awareness. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, make time to check in with yourself and stay up to date on recommended screenings.

💗 Know what’s normal for you. Become familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel. While routine breast self-exams aren’t a substitute for screening, knowing your body can help you notice changes and bring them to your healthcare provider’s attention.

💗 Know what to look for. Changes to watch for include a new lump or thickening, changes in breast size or shape, skin dimpling, ni**le changes, or unusual ni**le discharge. If you notice something new or unusual, contact your healthcare provider, even if you recently had a normal mammogram.

💗 Stay up to date on mammograms. Mammograms can detect breast cancer early, sometimes before a lump can be felt. Talk with your healthcare provider about when to start screening and how often you should be screened based on your age, health history, and individual risk factors.

💗 Make your health a priority. Awareness, early detection, and regular conversations with your healthcare team can make a difference.

Share this reminder with someone you love. A conversation today could encourage someone to take an important step for their health.

💬 Explore different topics related to living with the condition
🤝 Connect with others who understand the HCM journey
👩‍⚕️ Meet members of the multidisciplinary HCM care team
