What you eat is skincare. The autumn edition.

The plate shows up on the skin, and the season just changed the menu.

Sweet potato for beta-carotene, skin renewal and an even tone. Pumpkin and its seeds for vitamin A and zinc, turnover and calm. Florida citrus, just coming into season, for the vitamin C behind collagen and glow. Pomegranate for antioxidants that defend against dullness. Pecans for the good fats that keep a barrier supple.

When nature gives us her beautiful final show.
We slow down from the warmth of the summer sun and its memorable adventures, easing into a season of grounding, nourishing, and healing.

Facials did not begin in salons.

Long before skincare became an industry, facial massage, oils and touch belonged to healing traditions. In Ayurveda, the face was read as a reflection of the whole body. In Chinese medicine, gua sha was used to move stagnation and restore flow. In ancient Egypt, oils and clays sat closer to medicine than to beauty.

Somewhere along the way, ritual was renamed indulgence. We think the traditions had it right the first time.

Every treatment at ĀYU draws on these practices, gua sha, lymphatic massage, facial reflexology, paired with modern technology and expert hands. Not just a facial. A ritual with a lineage.
