If the pelvic floor is not responding to exercise routines, stretches, manual release and everything else you've tried...then it's probably a rage issue.

It could be a trauma issue, a sadness issue, a grief & loss issue....but under all of that lies anger & rage.

Unless we let her out, the pelvic floor will always feel a little "off" 🤷🏽‍♀️

Our relationships with mothering are some of the toughest to heal. 🤍

Whether it’s the internal ache from your own mother, or the doubt that creeps in around how you mother your own little ones… this can be one of the most tender, complicated emotional territories we carry.
Unhealed mother wounds don’t just disappear; they live in the body, in our thought patterns, and in the quiet ways we treat ourselves.

They can show up as:
🌀 Relentless self-judgment and self-doubt
🌀 Cycles of self-reward and self-punishment
🌀 Giving, giving, giving to everyone else… until there’s nothing left for you

This is generational. This is somatic. This is real.
Healing your mother wound isn’t about blame - it’s about reclamation. It’s one of the most powerful steps a woman can take toward living fuller, freer, and more confident in who she is.
If any part of this resonated, you’re not alone and you don’t have to untangle it by yourself. 🤍

A 60-something client came to us with erectile dysfunction. We started where most people would pelvic floor strengthening, the conventional approach.

But something wasn't adding up.

As we worked together, it became clear his issue wasn't just physical. It was emotional. Grief he'd been carrying since losing his spouse years ago grief he'd never actually processed was still living in his body.

So we shifted. Breathwork. Introspection. Somatic work, alongside the pelvic health piece. Not instead of it — with it.

Today, he feels like the best version of himself.

This is exactly what we teach at Integrative Somatic Healing Institute how to tell the difference between what's physical, what's emotional, and when (often) it's both.

At Pelvic Soul, we work with clients locally here in downtown Tampa and across the world. If you're tired of being in pain, or dealing with something you just can't shake come see us. We'll help you feel better.

Ever notice how some tension just doesn’t go away no matter how much you stretch?

That’s often not your muscles it’s your fascia. Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps around every muscle, organ, and nerve in your body. When it gets tight, dehydrated, or “stuck,” it restricts movement and can even trap old stress and emotion in the tissue itself.

Fascia flossing is a technique that helps release those restrictions improving mobility, circulation, and helping your body finally let go of what it’s been holding onto. This isn’t just physical work. It’s a reminder that healing lives in the body, not just the mind. 🕸️✨

Your breath is the only thing you do both consciously and unconsciously and most of us have never been taught to use it intentionally.

Pranayama, the ancient practice of breath control, is essentially learning to regulate your life force your Prana. And when you do that, everything shifts. Anxiety softens. Focus sharpens. Your nervous system finally exhales.

Breath is free. Healing through it is available to you right now.

Are you a manual therapist looking to avoid carpal tunnel, low back, and chronic neck pain? 💆✨

At the Integrative Somatic Healing Institute, we combine specialized hands-on work with active client participation to help you work smarter, not harder. By shifting your client into a parasympathetic nervous system state, their tissue opens up quicker, saving your body from the strain of hunching over for long periods.

How it works:

Engage the tissue : We make contact and engage the specific area.

Breathe & Focus: We ask the client to breathe into that space.

Sensate Focus: Using techniques from yoga and sensate focus, we help the client direct energy to the area to allow the tissue to expand and open.

If you work with patients who are trying to get pregnant 🤰, these are missed methods of improving their reproductive health.

The three biorhythms mentioned in the video are necessary to be healthy ⏰🌿.

If your client is not able to achieve regularity in their hunger, elimination, and sleep, the menstrual cycle will not regulate despite the manual therapy or medical interventions they undergo.

In our integrated pelvic care for fertility course 📚, we don’t just teach you hands-on manual therapy techniques to improve the internal balance around the reproductive organs. We also teach integrative methods based on the ancient science of Ayurveda 🌱 to help improve your clients’ overall health and reproductive well-being 💖.

Here are some hidden things that you and your patient may not be thinking about 👇

Hunger cues 🍽️ - the female body relies on a regular supply of good protein, fat, and other nutrients to synthesize hormones 🔄 in a cyclic manner. If your patient or client has very irregular eating habits, she will have difficulty maintaining regular hormonal rhythms during her cycle.

In my opinion, having a regular elimination rhythm 🚽 is by far the most important factor in judging overall gut health and reproductive health. If your patient is not emptying her bowels regularly, her reproductive organs are in close proximity to waste products ⚠️ that can be harmful to fertility.

Lastly, we think of nervous system states - rest, digest, and reproduce. Healthy reproduction does not happen without healthy rest and digestion. Helping your client decrease blue light before bed, create a mindfulness routine 🧘‍♀️ before sleep, and wake up at a regular time each day are all steps you can take to help them establish a healthy sleep routine so that they can successfully rest, digest and reproduce ✨.
