There is a pull in you that will not let you sit down until it is all done.

Replaying tomorrow’s schedule. Thinking about the permission slip. The email you still need to send.

You told yourself you are just a planner. That this is who you are.

But somewhere along the way you decided that letting go meant something would fall apart. That asking for help meant you were failing. That doing everything was the price of being a good mom, a good wife, a good woman.

So you kept going. And going. And going. 😵‍💫

You wanted him to take it off your plate. But you still needed your hands on it.

Because somewhere in the back of your mind, you are still waiting for proof that it will be okay if you let go.

When you are ready to move away from the constant hum of never being off, this is where that changes.

These are not your typical coach values.

I have been a psychotherapist for 25 years.

And somewhere along the way I realized that the values I hold most deeply are not the ones most people talk about in this space.

Failure. Stepping out of your comfort zone. Doing things YOUR way. Taking care of your whole body. And challenging the expectation that you are supposed to carry ALL of it.

That last one? That is the one nobody says out loud.

Because the 1956 Beaver Cleaver mentality does not work in 2026.

If we are both contributing to this family, we both share the load.

No supermom can do everything every day. It is okay to say NO even when everyone else is saying yes. It is okay to ask for help.

The expectation is completing the task. Not who did it.

Save this for the next time you feel guilty for asking your partner to carry something.

I didn’t find a new version of myself. I remembered the one who was always there.

She was buried under everything I thought I had to do, hold, manage, and carry. And the moment I started putting it down, one thing at a time, she started showing back up.

What I didn’t expect? Watching my husband actually show up for what I let go. Seeing him handle it. Trusting that it would be okay. That’s what gave me the space to finally breathe.

And in that space I started saying yes to things that were just mine. Dance classes I’d never tried. Tattoos. Brand shoots. Training. Traveling to places that stretched me. Things I did just because I wanted to.

You don’t need permission to take up space in your own life. You never did.

He vacuumed. You checked the lines. Then got mad at yourself for it. 🤬

You know he is capable. You know you should let it go. And you still could not stop yourself.

Your body has been the one holding everything together for so long, it does not know how to register that someone else has it handled. Your nervous system is not broken. It is doing exactly what it learned to do. Stay alert. Stay ready. Don’t let anything slip. Because for a long time, that was the only way things got done.

It never got the memo that things have changed.

You are depleted. And a depleted body protects itself the only way it knows how. 💯

That woman who walks into a room he just cleaned and feels grateful instead of scanning for what he missed? That is your mind finally quiet. That is what it is like to have you again.

She is closer than you think.

When you are ready to stop being the one who cannot hand it off, I am here.

NGL, this journey has been messy. And I would not have it any other way.

If you are in the messy right now, you are not alone.

This is hard. And it has probably been hard for a while.

You are checking in because your body does not know how to stop being on alert. A body running on empty protects itself the only way it knows how. By staying in charge.

But this is not your forever.

Nourishment is the bridge. What you are eating, how you are resting, how you are moving. All three together. That is what gives your body what it needs so that letting him handle it can actually feel okay.

Not someday. With the right nourishment, sooner than you think.

And if you are tired AF of the loop, message me. Let’s chat.
