It’s easy to gaze at its center in wonder
To see the sunlight enhancing its color
It’s easy to peer into the shadows creating its depth
To be captivated
by its unique movements with each passing breeze

As it gently moves
Just the tips of its petals
Then a long wild dance with a gust of wind
The flower dances like it’s finally free
Lost in the dance
I forget
Then it settles
to calm
Just being
Centered
Calm
Bright
A wildflower
Who is different
Alone
In the grass
The wildflower stands out
For just being
