Getting the diagnosis was one battle. Then came learning how to actually LIVE with it.
Beth is back with us to talk about what raising a child with cystic fibrosis really looks like behind the scenes: the daily medications, treatments, shake vest, school, sports, travel, germs, appointments, and the constant awareness that something most families never have to think twice about could make her daughter seriously sick.
We also talk about one of the strangest realities of CF: people with cystic fibrosis have to be incredibly careful around other people with cystic fibrosis because of the risk of passing dangerous infections to one another.
And while all of that is happening, Beth is also working a full-time job, raising another child who deserves his own time and attention, supporting her kids in sports, managing a household, and somehow continuing to be one of the funniest humans we know.
This episode is a glimpse into a version of motherhood most people never see — not because these moms want recognition, but because so much of what they do simply happens quietly, every single day.
Beth is a powerhouse. And after hearing what goes into keeping her family moving, we think you’ll agree. 💜

What happens when every doctor tells you your child doesn’t have the disease you’re afraid she has… but your gut keeps telling you otherwise?
This week, our friend Beth joins us to share the absolutely wild story of her daughter’s cystic fibrosis diagnosis. For more than six months, they were in and out of hospitals searching for answers, despite Beth knowing she was a carrier for CF. At one point, doctors were so confident it wasn’t cystic fibrosis that they told her they’d bet their house on it.
She’s still waiting for the keys to show up in the mail.
Beth kept asking questions. She kept pushing. She kept advocating. And eventually, one phone call to pathology uncovered a test result that changed everything.
This episode is about cystic fibrosis, but it’s also about something so many moms understand: knowing your child, trusting your instincts, and refusing to stop asking questions when something doesn’t feel right.
And somehow, because Beth is Beth, a story that is objectively NOT funny is also freaking hilarious at times.
Whether you know anything about cystic fibrosis or not, this is one hell of a story about motherhood, medicine, and advocating like a mother.

Let’s hear it for the bo***es! 👏🏼😂💗

They feed babies. They change with us. They survive puberty, pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight changes, gravity… and somehow we still expect them to behave themselves. 😂

Big, small, perky, saggy, matching, NOT matching… every set has a story.

So this week, we’re celebrating the b***s — the good, the bad, the funny, the unexpected, and everything in between.

Because honestly… b***s deserve a little appreciation. 😂👏🏼

B***s. We've all got a story. 😂
From training bras and awkward teenage years to breastfeeding babies (or trying to!), body changes, surgery, and eventually reaching the point where you just don't care anymore—we're talking about every stage of the b**b journey.
Caley shares what it was like breastfeeding all four kids, while Megs admits nursing wasn't exactly a natural talent. We laugh about the insecurities, the surprises, and the reality that every woman has a different experience.
It's honest, ridiculous, and proof that no topic is off limits around here.
🎙️ Come laugh with us... because if you can't laugh about b***s, what can you laugh about?

What if “being strong” doesn’t mean having it all together?

What if sometimes strength looks like getting out of bed.
Answering the phone.
Taking care of the people you love.
Having a good cry.
Laughing when you didn’t expect to.
And then waking up and doing it all again.

This week, we got really honest about what life looks like when there are no easy answers and everything feels heavy.

Two weeks after losing my mom, I finally felt ready to sit behind the microphone again. What started as a podcast recording quickly turned into something that felt a whole lot more like therapy.

We talked about grief. Caregiving. Exhaustion. Missing the people we’ve lost. And that strange feeling of trying to keep living your everyday life when your world doesn’t feel anything like it used to.

There were no perfect answers in this conversation.

Just two women sitting in the middle of a really freaking hard season… and showing up anyway.

If life feels heavy for you right now, we hope this episode reminds you of one thing:

You don't have to have it figured out. You just have to keep showing up. ❤️

Two weeks after losing my mom, this was the first time I felt ready to sit back down behind the microphone. We thought we were recording a podcast, but somewhere along the way it became therapy.
In this deeply personal episode, we talk honestly about grief - the beauty of celebrating a life well lived, the heartbreak of saying goodbye, and the strange reality of trying to return to everyday life when your world has completely changed. I share what those first two weeks have really looked like after my mom’s passing, from the incredible celebration of her life to the overwhelming weight of missing her every single day.
At the same time, Meg opens up about being in her own difficult season as she steps into the role of caring for her dad while also helping care for her recovering mother-in-law. Between the two of us, life feels heavy - and we don’t pretend otherwise.
This isn’t an episode filled with answers. It’s an episode filled with truth. If you’re walking through grief, caregiving, or one of those seasons where life just feels impossibly hard, we hope you’ll find comfort in knowing you’re not alone.
💛 Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is simply keep showing up.

Grief doesn’t always look the way we think it will.

Sometimes it’s crying around the table.
Sometimes it’s laughing when you probably shouldn’t be.
Sometimes it’s telling stories, remembering, hugging, and just sitting in the mess of it all.

And sometimes… it’s watching the people you love finally let themselves feel it, too.

This week’s episode is one of the most raw and real conversations we’ve ever shared. Just 22 hours after losing my mom, I found myself surrounded by family — including my Aunt Shawna, my mom’s sister and best friend — talking about love, loss, grief, and what it means to carry someone with you after they’re gone.

It’s messy. It’s heartbreaking. It’s beautiful.

And it’s real life. ❤️

Come sit with us for this one.

Just 22 hours after my mom passed away, we found ourselves surrounded by family during a wake unlike anything I'd ever experienced. People flew in from all over the country, and what unfolded was one of the most beautiful displays of humanity I've ever witnessed.
This episode is about the strange, sacred space that exists the day after loss - where tears and laughter somehow live side by side. We talk about the healing that comes from being together, sharing stories, crying openly, and allowing every emotion to have a seat at the table.
One of the most powerful parts of the conversation was watching the men in our family fully embrace their emotions instead of hiding them. There was no pretending to be strong - just honest grief, deep love, and a willingness to feel it all.
We're also joined by my Aunt Shawna, my mom's sister and best friend. Seeing her sitting across from me - looking so much like my mom - made this conversation even more special. Together, we reflect on love, loss, family, and what it means to carry someone forward after they're gone.
If you've ever wondered what grief really looks like, this episode is it. Messy. Beautiful. Heartbreaking. Hopeful. And incredibly human.
A quick note before you listen: In the middle of the emotional tornado surrounding my mom's passing, we sat down to record and somehow forgot to plug in our microphones. 🤦🏼‍♀️ The audio isn't up to our normal standards, but after listening back, we knew this conversation was too meaningful not to share. Thank you for giving us a little grace - we promise the message is worth it.

Some episodes are polished.

This isn't one of them. ❤️

Less than 24 hours after surgery, we hit record anyway. There were long pauses, anesthesia-fueled conversations, unexpected laughs, and some really honest moments about what healing actually looks like.

Because here's the truth...

Healing isn't always pretty. Sometimes it's messy. Sometimes it's painful. Sometimes it looks like showing up exactly as you are, even when you're not at your best.

If you've ever felt like you had to have it all together before letting people see you... this one's for you.

🎙️ Episode 78 is out now. Come laugh with us, cry with us, and remember that there's no shame in healing out loud.
