1. PRE-HYDRATE

Make it part of your hydration routine to drink water before you exercise or go out in the sun.

2. CHOOSE CAFFEINE-FREE

Stay away from drinks that contain caffeine. Caffeine is a diuretic or it makes you pee more which in turn causes you to lose more fluids.

3. EAT FRUIT

Most fruits contain a good amount of water, and it all adds up. Fresh fruit also produces dietary fiber, so it’s a better option than sipping fruit juice.

4. KEEP WATER HANDY

Having water on hand is one way to ensure you’ll remember to drink it, so having a refillable bottle with you is a great idea.

5. ADD A PINCH OF SALT

this makes sense if you think about it; we lose salts when we sweat, and they need to be replaced.

6. TRY HERBAL TEAS

Herbal teas don’t contain caffeine so they’re a great way to add to your daily fluid intake. Too hot to drink tea? Herbal teas also make great iced beverages.

7. TRY DIY SLUSHIES

Gardening is a great outdoor activity anyone can enjoy. But, like any other location in the home, the garden is also a place where injury can occur.

A couple of Back Care Tips before you start planting anytime.

1. Warm Up

Before you get going, warm up your muscles with a brisk 10-minute walk around the block or even on the spot.

2. Stretch

Following your warm-up complete a couple of full body stretches prior to jumping straight in the garden, allow your muscles some time to loosen up.

3. Lift with ease

Before lifting, position yourself close to the object. Keep your back straight and bend your knees using your leg and arm muscles to smoothly and slowly lift the load. Keep the load close to your body and pivot – don’t twist – to turn.

4.Stay Hydrated

Drink lots of water to keep your body well hydrated. The discs of your spine require water to keep them cushiony and functioning properly.

5. Take a break

Rest when you’re tired and take time out for stretching to loosen tense muscles.
