Today, I signed another lease to stay in my office and continue serving our Veterans.
This month was supposed to be my last. I truly believed it was time to close this chapter. But sometimes, life has different plans than the ones we make for ourselves.
I’ve learned that when a path keeps opening in front of you, it’s because you’re meant to walk it. I don’t want to ignore what I believe God has already marked for my life. Everything has been aligning exactly as it should, and one of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is to trust the process; even when it doesn’t make sense.
Those who know me know that my heart has always been to help, to serve, and to make a difference. That is what truly fulfills me. Life will often take us through difficult seasons, but those seasons have a purpose. Sometimes, we have to walk through challenges before we fully understand why we were called there in the first place.
For months, I’ve carried the vision of creating a wellness program that would allow us to provide deeper, more complete care for our Veterans. I kept pushing that dream aside because it felt overwhelming. I told myself, “That’s too much. That’s not for me.”
At the same time, I was ready to throw in the towel. I told myself I had served for three years, given everything I had, and that maybe it was enough. While I felt grateful for what had been accomplished, my heart still wasn’t at peace. I knew there were so many Veterans still struggling, physically, emotionally, and mentally and I couldn’t ignore that.
Today, one of my wonderful client shared something about a nonprofit organization.
She encouraged me to start a nonprofit organization that could help sponsor wellness care for Veterans who need it most. As we talked, the vision became even clearer and I already have a name for it:
-“Balanced Veterans Wellness Foundation.”-
I proclaim and believe this is the beginning of something much bigger than I ever imagined.
That conversation reignited something inside of me.
Instead of giving up, I feel more determined than ever to keep moving forward. I truly believe I have been called to serve.
I feel incredibly blessed. God has blessed me with more work than I can handle on my own, and every opportunity reminds me that He continues to open doors. I trust that He will provide the strength, wisdom, guidance, the right people, and every resource needed to bring this vision to life.
Today, I don’t just see an office.
I see a future.
I see a clinic that serves countless Veterans, not just one location, but many. I see more talented therapists working together with compassion, I see advanced tools and treatments that truly change lives. I see families finding hope, healing, and restoration.
This dream has become bigger than me.
For a long time, I questione So today, I’m choosing to take the risk.
Please keep me in your prayers as I take these next steps. If this vision is from God, I know He will make a way.
I’m choosing to trust the process… because sometimes the purpose we’ve been called to is greater than the plans we were ready to let go of.
❤️ One Veteran at a time. One life at a time.
