❤️ $13,458.73 raised for Jubilee House, an outreach ministry of Grace Episcopal Church❤️

A HUGE thank you to Oryana shoppers for rounding up at the register throughout September in support of Jubilee House through our Groceries for Good program!

Jubilee House is a Traverse City organization providing a day shelter, daily living assistance, and support for people experiencing homelessness, those who are marginally employed, and low-income members of our community. Their work centers on dignity, respect, and meeting everyday needs. ❤️

Every roundup, big or small, helped make this donation possible. Thank you for showing what our community can accomplish when we come together to support our neighbors! 🥰

What do groceries and electricity have in common? ⚡🥦 They’re both powered by cooperation!

This National Co-op Month, we teamed up with our friends at Cherryland Electric Cooperative to celebrate the cooperative business model and what makes it so special.

While we serve our communities in different ways, we share the same commitment to putting people before profits, empowering our members, and keeping our communities strong.

A big thank you to Nick from Cherryland Electric for stopping by Oryana to talk all things co-op! ❤️

We're almost at 400 new and renewing Oryana owners this October! Can we make it to 500?! ❤️🙌

This month we're donating every $5 ownership administration fee to Safe Harbor of Grand Traverse Community Meals Program.

🍽️ $4 provides one nutritious meal for a neighbor in need.

❤️ 400 owners = $2,000 donated = 500 meals!

🙌 500 owners = $2,500 donated = 625 meals!

That's a whole lot of meals for our neighbors this holiday season!

Help us reach 500! Join or renew your Oryana ownership at either location this October.

What does it mean to put people before profits? 💚

For National Co-op Month, we teamed up with our friends at Lake Michigan Credit Union to talk about what it means to serve our communities as cooperatives!

While one of us focuses on food and the other on financial services, we share a common purpose: putting people first, supporting our neighbors, and keeping our communities strong. 🤝

Cooperatives are built on the belief that when people work together, we can accomplish more. And that’s something worth celebrating!

💙 Want to learn more about Lake Michigan Credit Union? Stop by Oryana Tenth Street tomorrow, Wednesday, October 21, from 11 AM to 1 PM to meet the LMCU team, ask questions, and learn more about how credit unions serve their members and communities.

Happy National Co-op Month! 🛒💚

Detroit People's Food Co-op needs our support. 💚

After more than a decade of community organizing, Detroit People’s Food Co-op opened its doors in 2024, bringing fresh food, community ownership, and economic opportunity to Detroit’s North End neighborhood.

Today, this Black-led, community-owned grocery store is facing financial challenges, including rising operating costs and lower-than-expected sales.

This National Co-op Month, Oryana is joining fellow food cooperatives across the country in supporting Detroit People’s Food Co-op and its mission.

And you can help, too! 🤝

Donations, contributions to its GoFundMe, new member-owners, and simply spreading the word can make a difference.

Cooperation Among Cooperatives is more than a principle. It’s about showing up for one another when it matters.

A big thank you to all of our Oryana shoppers who donated to the Women's Resource Center for the Grand Traverse Area food drive this past week! 💜

Your generosity will help provide food, care, and support to survivors in our community.

There’s still time to make a difference! Throughout the rest of October, you can support the Women’s Resource Center by rounding up your purchase at the register when you shop at Oryana.

Every round-up helps support WRC’s mission to protect, shelter, and empower people impacted by domestic and sexual violence.

Thank you for showing what a community can accomplish when we come together! ✨

The Ol’ 96er has NOTHING on this! 🥩😂

If you’ve ever seen The Great Outdoors, you know exactly what we’re talking about. 👀

Our West Meat Department is serving up some serious John Candy-sized steaks (and John, our Meat Manager is leading the charge)! 💪

These massive Whole Round Steaks from True West Beef are available at our West location for a limited time!

Think you could take on the Ol’ 96er challenge? Or would you be calling in backup? 😂

What does a grocery co-op have in common with a credit union? 🛒💸 More than you might think!

In celebration of National Co-op Month, we teamed up with our friends at 4Front Credit Union to see just how much our two cooperatives have in common!

While one of us fills your grocery basket and the other helps you manage your finances, we’re both built around the same idea: putting people and community first. ❤️

As cooperatives, we’re member-owned, locally focused, and committed to keeping dollars circulating right here in our communities. When you support a co-op, you’re supporting a business that reinvests in the people and places it serves.

Different services, shared values, and apparently, a lot more in common than we thought! 🛒🤝

Happy National Co-op Month! Here’s to the power of cooperation and the communities that make it possible.
