Amber Gross, D.C.
Amber attended undergrad at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA, where she majored in Neuroscience. She graduated from Agnes Scott in 2018. Amber was then accepted into Chiropractic School at Life University in Marietta, GA, in May 2018. She started the chiropractic program in October of 2018. She decided to become a chiropractor to help people in a more holistic way. Additionally, she wanted to empower people to be able to advocate for themselves in healthcare settings. Currently, Amber is working at a clinic in the Vinings. She is an Associate Doctor at a wellness-based chiropractic office. When asked why she believes it is important to have black women working in the medical field, she said, "I think it's important to have black women working in the medical field because it's important to have someone to relate to when you are in pain or unsure of how you feel. I think it's essential to be comfortable when you aren't feeling your best, and having someone that looks like you can be reassuring." Thank you, Amber, for being a phenomenal Noire Medical Woman! ! Busy call weekend but still on cloud 9. So incredibly thankful for my tribe. Thankful that I donβt have to take any more exams ever. Thankful for this 14 year journey (not for the faint of heart). Thankful to my husband who has dealt me while my anxiety was at a 12 all of December and January. Thankful for my sisters and friends who listened to me complain everyday. Thankful for my babies who tried to give mommy space while she locked herself in her office to study for hours at a time.
Thankful that even with getting Covid and ending up in the hospital literally weeks before my test while pregnant God still granted me finishing grace. Whew.
Thankful for everyone who believed in me when I didnβt believe in myself. And shout out to my job for my surprise party during my call shift! No, I donβt know the s*x of this baby they just used pink confetti lol.
Thank you for all that you do!! π« Tag your favorite physician! π₯°

Against all ODDS we made it! Now we are very much essential af. β¨
With this being my second degree, my only goal was to get in and get out with a degree. But somehow God saw fit to link us all together in way or another. From Tuesday night psych clinicals, which was basically dinner with our homegirl Margie or failing that cardiology exam in Med-Surg to gettin a lil too tipsy on the handlebar to consistently getting mixed up because all black girls look alike π This jouRNey would not have been the same without yβall, Iβm so excited to see where we go next.
Cheers to being done with the BS and another degree hotter π₯

Rare sighting of me in my white coat π
A few fun facts about my white coat ...
1. I actually havenβt had a white coat ceremony.. yet. My ceremony was delayed due to COVID .. but will be before my M3 rotations.
2. The coat is hot as hell π
So, I only try to wear it for a short bit and then take it off ASAP, lol.
3. Dreaming of my white coat & my ceremony got me thru MCAT studying honestly. I was insistent that my friend took my photos ( ) prior to even being accepted π I couldnβt disappoint myself or not keep my word on that note!
4. Pls take yours to the dry cleaner to maintain it. Keep her pretty βΊοΈ [insert appropriate pronouns]
Do you/Did you dream of your white coat too? Let me know below!

Hi i am Amari Jordan
Black Woman, White Coat π©π½ββοΈ I really did it when multiple people told me I couldnβt, including my academic advisors. When I first wanted to apply to the Nursing program they told me I shouldnβt because there was a very slim chance of me getting in due to my GPA at the time (which wasnβt bad but wasnβt the standard). That same semester I worked soooo hard and received all Aβs in 5 classes. I prayed hard and put the work in. Needless to say I applied when I wanted to and got accepted.
Honestly GOD has the final say, I knew with all my heart that because I wanted this badly he was going to make a way and here I am. I beat the odds and graduated EARLY. ππ½ββοΈ
Throughout this last semester I interviewed with 4 hospitals with various positions and received 3 job offers. Iβm proud to say that I have accepted a job offer from Promedica Toledo Hospital as a Cardiac Intermediate Nurse β€οΈπ©Ί. My journey doesnβt end here. Next up is my Masterβs In Nurse Midwifery/ Womenβs Care π
