Tips to play it cool in extreme heat!
When it's very hot, going to the swimming pool or beach for a short time or staying inside to work on crafts, reading or playing board games may be a good idea.
Plan ahead if you know there will be several days of high heat in a row. Consider creative ways to have kids switch up their activities and avoid "cabin fever" at home. To help them stay active, suggest some easy yoga stretches, playing indoor hide-and-seek or making up fun physical challenges that aren't too strenuous.

Extreme heat can cause children to become sick in several ways.  Learn how to keep kids safe in extreme heat—signs of heat illness, prevention tips, hydration advice & when to call the pediatrician or seek emergency medical care.

🩺 Why Scheduling Your Child's Appointment Early Matters 🧸

At Paloma Pediatrics, we know life gets busy — but when it comes to your little one's health, timing matters! Here's why we encourage parents to book early:

✅ Better appointment times – Grab the morning slot before school or the after-school spot that works with your routine, before they fill up!

✅ Stay on track with well-checks & vaccines – Early scheduling helps make sure your child doesn't miss important milestones in their growth and immunization schedule.

✅ Less stress for you and your child – No last-minute scrambling means a calmer, smoother visit for everyone.

✅ Catch things early – Regular checkups help us spot potential concerns before they become bigger issues.

✅ More time to ask questions – Booking ahead gives you time to jot down any questions or concerns you want to discuss with your child's doctor.

👶 Don't wait until the sniffles hit or the school year sneaks up! Call us today at 520-751-3312 to secure your child's next appointment.

We're here for your family, every step of the way. 💙
