Do you think we do paperwork on a Friday before Halloween? Of course not we fly around on our canes while in costume. Watch Jordan take flight while dressed as Joe Dirt. Happy Halloween and Fun Friday.

🎉🔔 TRIUMPH TUESDAY: Ringing in Success with BELL Academy! 🎓👏Two weeks may not seem like a long time, but WOW, what a difference two weeks can make! 💙This summer, SAAVI Services for the Blind had the wonderful opportunity to help host the National Federation of the Blind’s BELL Academy, and we couldn’t be prouder of these amazing students! In just two short weeks, these young learners explored new experiences, developed valuable skills, built friendships, challenged themselves, and discovered just how much they are capable of accomplishing! 🌟From learning new techniques to trying things they had never done before, every day was filled with growth, laughter, and a little bit of adventure!🎓 Graduation day was the perfect way to celebrate all their hard work! Seeing their accomplishments and confidence grow was a reminder that independence starts young and that blindness doesn’t have to stand in the way of big dreams!👏 Congratulations to all our BELL Academy graduates! Keep learning, keep exploring, and most importantly, keep ringing that BELL of independence! 🔔💙 Pictured: students and mentors entering the community room from the courtyard for their graduation. Showing off some of the cane skills they obtained during the week.

🎉🦯 FUN FRIDAY: Celebrating Independence, Equality, and Achievement! 🦯🎉

What a FUN month it has been at Saavi Services for the Blind! October is Blind Equality Achievement Month, and we have been busy celebrating the accomplishments, independence, and endless possibilities of the blind community! đź’™

Of course, one of the biggest highlights was White Cane awareness Day on October 15th! And what better way to celebrate than getting out into our communities and showing everyone what independence looks like? 🦯✨

🌵 In Tucson, our students explored the University of Arizona campus with a very special tour guide—a former Saavi student who is now pursuing a doctoral degree at the university! 🎓 Talk about coming full circle! What an incredible example of where determination, opportunity, and independence can lead!

🏙️ In Phoenix, our students attended a special White Cane Day Proclamation at City Hall, where the mayor officially read the proclamation recognizing the importance of the white cane and the independence and rights of blind individuals!

From exploring college campuses to being recognized at City Hall, our students have been out and about, making connections, building confidence, and showing their communities that it is not about what you can see but what you can do.

We may be wrapping up Blind Equality Achievement Month, but at Saavi, we celebrate independence, equality, and achievement EVERY day! 💪🦯

Happy Fun Friday! Keep those canes moving and those possibilities growing! 🎉

💼✨ Throwback Thursday: career fair✨💼

At Saavi Services for the Blind, we believe that no dream is too big and no career goal is out of reach! 🌟

Today, some of our Phoenix students attended the DREAM Job Fair, exploring career opportunities, making connections, and taking steps toward their future! Meanwhile, our Tucson students are gearing up to attend the DREAM Job Fair next week! 🎉

In honor of these exciting opportunities, we’re throwing it back to some of the groups of Saavi services for the blind students who have attended the job fair over the years!

From exploring possibilities to discovering new career paths, these experiences remind us that it’s not what you can see it’s what you can do💪

Here’s to dreaming big, building connections, and turning career goals into reality! 🎯

🎉 TRIUMPH TUESDAY: Assembling His Future, One Piece at a Time! 🔧🏭

Every great future starts with a plan, and Todd is putting the pieces together for his! đź’Ş

This week, we’re celebrating Todd for delivering his job goal presentation, where he shared his ambition to work in assembly within the manufacturing industry!

Just like an assembly line, reaching a career goal takes preparation, determination, and the right tools for success. Todd is learning to put those pieces together as he works toward his future career.

At SAAVI Services for the Blind, we believe that blindness doesn’t limit ambition, and Todd is proving that his future is MADE to be bright! 🌟

👏 Way to go, Todd! We can’t wait to see what you build next!
