Three years ago, I was in a massive reading slump.
I’d spent years reading clinical books for work and business books because apparently even my downtime needed to be productive. 😂 I missed reading just because it was fun.
Then a friend handed me a book that changed the whole damn thing.
It introduced me to fiction, reminded me how much I love getting completely lost in a story, and kicked off three years of some good fu***ng reading.
Lately, I’ve been bored again. Picking books up, putting them down, looking for something to hit the way those books did. So instead of searching for something new, I’m going back.
Back to the book that started it, then through the favorites I’ve collected over the last three years. The ones that made me gasp, cry, stay up way too late, fall in love with characters who do not exist and occasionally question my own morals. 😂
Consider this my reading-slump reset. I already know there are some GOOD ones coming.
What’s a book that made you love reading again?
