This Thankful Thursday, I’m grateful for gratitude itself.

It’s easy to focus on what we’re still working toward, what needs to change, or what we wish we had. But gratitude reminds us to pause and recognize what’s already good in our lives.

Sometimes, a shift in perspective is all it takes to see how much we already have to be thankful for.

What are you grateful for today?

Feeling exhausted even when you’re getting enough sleep? Your iron levels may be worth looking at.

Ferritin helps us understand how much iron your body has stored. When those stores are low, some people experience fatigue, difficulty concentrating, hair shedding, or reduced exercise tolerance.

If you’ve been struggling with unexplained fatigue or other symptoms, don’t simply push through them. Ask your healthcare provider whether checking your iron status makes sense.

For women who want to understand iron health better, comment IRON and we’ll send you our Iron Guide for Women. 🤍

Your brain deserves the same attention you give your muscles.

Cognitive health isn’t something to think about only when memory starts slipping. The habits you build throughout your life can influence how well your brain functions as you age.

Physical activity, quality sleep, continued learning, and good nutrition all play a role. None is a magic fix on its own, but together they help build a stronger foundation for long-term brain health.

The goal isn’t just to live longer. It’s to keep thinking clearly, learning, remembering, and staying mentally engaged along the way.

Start with the basics. Your future brain depends on them.

If your goal is fat loss, stop treating your body like something you need to punish.

Eating less and doing more cardio might move the scale, but sustainable results require a better approach. You need to preserve muscle, fuel your activity, train for progress, and understand what your body actually needs.

Muscle plays a major role in strength, metabolic health, and how well you function as you age. That’s why the goal shouldn’t be to weigh less at any cost. It should be to lose fat while protecting the muscle that keeps you strong.

Build muscle before you need it. Your future self will thank you.

What will your last 10 years look like? The answer depends on more than how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.

Biological age gives us a different way to think about aging. It looks at how your body is functioning at a cellular level, including the role of your mitochondria.

For Dr. Michele & me, longevity has always been about more than adding years to life. It’s about protecting your strength, vitality, and ability to keep doing the things you love as you age.

Comment BHW and we’ll send you the full Biohackers World Chicago keynote.

Your wearable can give you the numbers. But do you know what they actually mean?

Heart rate, sleep scores, recovery scores, HRV. People are tracking more health data than ever, but tracking a number and understanding your health are two very different things.

Technology can be a useful tool, but only when you know how to use the information it gives you.

This is exactly what we’re discussing on the Authentic Longevity Podcast.

Comment PODCAST and we’ll send you the link to the full episode.
