Yesterday, WCHC’s rear parking lot was filled with costumes, decorated trunks, games, laughter, and neighbors enjoying a beautiful afternoon together.

Our Trunk or Treat brought participating WCHC tenants together with local businesses, community organizations, and volunteers to create a free and welcoming afternoon for families. That kind of collaboration reflects an important part of WCHC’s role: providing a place where people and organizations can come together, build relationships, and strengthen our community.

Thank you to everyone who hosted a trunk, donated treats, volunteered, or helped make the event possible. Most of all, thank you to the families who joined us and brought so much energy and creativity to the afternoon.

We are grateful for the community support that continues to make WCHC a place for connection throughout the year.

Preventive care is more accessible when trusted community organizations bring opportunities closer to home.

Thank you to Tunkhannock Kiwanis for hosting Saturday’s AMBA blood screening at Wyoming County Healthcare Centerβ€”and to the volunteers who welcomed participants, provided refreshments, and helped the morning run smoothly.

We also appreciate every community member who took time to participate and be proactive about their health. WCHC is proud to provide space where local organizations can connect residents with valuable health information, screenings, and resources close to home.

Staying independent starts with staying safe.

For many older adults, the ability to move confidently around their home, enjoy daily activities, and maintain their independence means everything. But a fall can change that in an instant.

The good news? There are steps you can take to reduce the risk.

Join us Tuesday, November 10, from 11 AM–12 PM for a FREE workshop with Tiffany Toth of CIP Rehabilitation.

Learn how to recognize fall risks, make everyday surroundings safer, and take practical steps toward protecting your independenceβ€”or helping someone you love protect theirs.

Location: Wyoming County Healthcare Center, Lower Level Classroom
