🛒🍽️ INTRODUCING: FROM CART TO TABLE 🍽️🛒

How much does it really cost to put a meal on the table?

We’re starting a new series called From Cart to Table, where we’ll break down the cost of simple, family-friendly recipes using prices from local grocery stores.

Each recipe will include:
🥕 Easy-to-follow recipes using everyday ingredients
🛒 Pictures of the ingredients so you can see exactly what we're working with
💰 A price breakdown for the ingredients used
♻️ Notes about leftover ingredients when you won't use an entire package
🍽️ The total cost of the recipe
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The cost per serving

Our goal is to help our community see that healthy, homemade meals don't have to break the bank. We'll share simple ideas, budget-friendly tips, and practical ways to make the most of the groceries you bring home.
And because grocery prices can change, we'll tell you where and when we checked prices so you know exactly where our numbers came from.

📍 Simple meals. Local prices. Real numbers.

Follow along with From Cart to Table and see what's possible with what's in your grocery cart!

Today, we’re celebrating the teachers who show up every day to support, encourage, and inspire the next generation.

At Miller County Health Center, we know that strong partnerships with our local schools and educators are an important part of public health. Working together allows us to reach children and families where they live, learn, and grow—and create healthier communities together.

🍂 Flu season is here, and one of the best ways to protect yourself and your loved ones is by getting the flu vaccine!

Here’s why it’s important:
🌟 It reduces your risk of getting the flu, which means fewer sick days and less downtime
🌟 Protects those around you, especially vulnerable populations like babies, seniors, and people with compromised immune systems
🌟 Even if you do get the flu, the vaccine can make your symptoms milder and prevent serious complications
🌟 It’s a quick and easy way to stay healthy through the fall and winter months!

You can call 573-369-2400 to schedule an appointment at our office or walk-in to one of our Community Flu Clinics.

If you have insurance, please bring your insurance card with you. If you are uninsured, or underinsured, ask about alternative coverage options for the flu vaccine

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🎀

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, but early detection can make a difference.

Regular preventive care and well-woman exams are an important part of taking care of your health. These visits give you an opportunity to talk with your healthcare provider about your personal risk factors, recommended screenings, breast health, and any changes or concerns you may have.

💕 Don’t wait until something feels wrong to prioritize your health. Make your preventive care appointments, know what is normal for you, and talk with your healthcare provider about the screenings that are right for you.

This October, make your health a priority. Schedule your well-woman exam and stay up to date on recommended breast cancer screenings. 🎀
