The best results come from a system where every piece has a job 👇

Graymatter is built the same way: 27 plant-based ingredients, each one there for a reason.

📌 Here’s what four of them are doing for you on the days that count:
→ Guarana: a natural caffeine source with compounds that stretch out the lift, so your energy builds and holds instead of spiking.
→ Red Panax Ginseng: one of the most studied herbs for mental performance, linked to sharper thinking and better mood when the day runs long.
→ Huperzine A: slows the breakdown of acetylcholine, the brain messenger behind memory and learning, so the details stick.
→ Ashwagandha: helps keep cortisol, your main stress hormone, in check, so pressure sharpens you instead of rattling you.

🧠 If you’re building a system around your best work, save this. Then share it with someone who wants to know why their focus holds up.

Long stretches of deep work, hard decisions, and back-to-back meetings ask a lot of your brain.

Here’s what four of these ingredients bring when the pressure lasts well past noon ⬇️

→ Lion’s Mane: supports nerve growth and mental clarity, so your thinking stays sharp through the long stretches.
→ Rhodiola: an adaptogen that helps your body handle stress and fatigue, so a demanding day doesn’t drain your drive.
→ Korean Matcha: natural caffeine paired with L-theanine, for energy that comes in calm and stays steady.
→ Vitamins C & B: B vitamins help your body turn food into usable energy, and vitamin C helps reduce tiredness, keeping you even from morning to evening.

If your days run long and your standards run high, save this. Then share it with someone who holds their focus to the same standard as their work.

The holidays start in your head long before they show up on the calendar.

Weeks out, you’re already juggling the guest list, the travel, and year-end deadlines. Clinical neuroscientist Dr. Caroline Leaf | Neuroscientist & Neuroplasticity Expert has spent her career studying how what’s on your mind shows up in your brain and body, and this time of year is a perfect example.

A simple way to use that: write down the three things about the season taking up the most space in your head, then put one small action next to each. A worry with a plan attached is a lot lighter to carry.

📌 A clear head makes all of that easier. That’s what Graymatter was built for:
→ A noticeable lift within about 15 minutes
→ 4 to 8 hours of calm, steady focus
→ No crash and no jitters
→ Plant-based and made for daily use

Start building the habit now, and you’ll walk into the holidays with a steadier mind.

Save this for the busy weeks ahead, and share it with whoever’s hosting this year.

As a founder, Jim Phillips needed to stay sharp through long, high-stakes days, and extra caffeine and stimulants weren’t getting him there.

So he built the drink he wanted for himself, then made it for everyone else.

Here’s how it works, layer by layer:
→ The lift: matcha and green tea paired with L-theanine, so your energy builds gradually instead of spiking.
→ The focus: nootropics like Alpha GPC and L-Tyrosine support dopamine and acetylcholine, two brain messengers tied to attention, memory, and processing speed.
→ The balance: adaptogens like ashwagandha, rhodiola, and lion’s mane help your body manage stress, so a full plate feels manageable.
→ The foundation: methylated B vitamins plus vitamins C and D to support everyday energy.

Most people feel it within 10 to 15 minutes. Taken daily, it supports new connections between brain cells over time.

📌 Save this so you know what each layer is doing, and share it with someone who wants to know what’s behind their focus.

The busiest season of the year rewards the people who stay steady.

Staying sharp from now through the end of the year takes more than willpower. It helps to know exactly what’s fueling you, and why it works.

📌 Here’s what four of these ingredients are doing for you when the pressure is on:

→ Ashwagandha: helps lower cortisol, your body’s main stress hormone, so a high-stakes week doesn’t throw you off your game.
→ L-Tyrosine: gives your brain the building blocks for dopamine, supporting drive and quicker task-switching when your day gets crowded.
→ Maca Root: supports steady energy and stamina, and has been linked to better mood. Made for long days that don’t let up.
→ Cordyceps: supports your immune system, so you can keep showing up as the season gets colder.

If you’re building something, training for something, or leading people through a busy season, save this. Then share it with someone on your team who holds themselves to the same standard.

There’s more health information out there than ever. The hard part is knowing which of it actually fits you.

That’s the gap Clay Health & Care was built to close. Clay pairs everyday primary care with a focus on performance and long-term health, using each member’s own data and goals to shape their care.

We’re proud to be partnering with Clay. Their team treats health as something you build over time, and that’s the same way Jim Phillips and our team think about the brain.

The best results come from steady, informed choices made day after day.

Here’s to building health the long way, with the right people in your corner.

Every ambitious person hits a point where the job gets bigger than they are.

I hit that point at 26, running my first venture-backed company. Like a lot of driven people, I met it with more: more hours, more caffeine, more stimulants.

It didn’t work. It wasn’t sustainable, and it actually made me less productive. I had to learn the hard way that I needed to invest in long-term cognitive change.

Two takeaways:
→ First, intensity and capacity are two different things. Pushing harder doesn’t always create more output.
→ Second, sustainable change and the easy route don’t typically go together.

Daily meditation took weeks before I felt anything, and I nearly quit more than once. It builds physiological cognitive change and that’s exactly why it works. Pair it with mental nutrition from Graymatter and it amplifies the results.

I couldn’t have built this company to where it is today as that young 26-year-old. I created Graymatter so the next person has access to mental nutrition that supports strengthening their cognition.

Save this for the days you’re tempted to just push harder.

States of Mind, ep 1. Brittany Berger

Mindset coach to professional athletes. Reiki master and sound healer. Songwriter. And the founder of Mindful Music Lab, a Miami recording studio where wellness and music share the same room.

Her path didn’t follow a straight line. She built a career in events, moved abroad and wrote her first book, coached athletes through the mental side of their game, and then opened a studio where artists can create and recharge in the same place.

On any given day, Brittany might move from a healing session, to a recording session, to a community event. Work that centers on other people asks for full presence, from the first session to the last.

Graymatter is part of how she holds that level all day. It’s in her routine every day, supporting steady focus and clarity across everything on her calendar.

The people who give the most to others tend to take the best care of their own minds.

Save this as a reminder of what it looks like to build a life around what you care about, and share it with someone who’s building theirs.
