Today, student doctors at NYITCOM at Arkansas State University are strengthening their population health skills through DPHI, preparing to address substance use disorders in rural communities.
A special thank you to Dr. Martin and associate Mr. Tucker Martin for sharing their expertise on substance use disorders, treatment approaches, and providing hands-on training in the use of naloxone, a life-saving medication used to reverse opioid overdoses.
At DPHI, we believe that building a physician workforce equipped with knowledge, practical skills, and empathy is essential to improving health outcomes in rural communities.
Because an informed and compassionate physician workforce doesn’t just change lives, it can transform entire communities. 💙
