Sometimes we see amazing things watching queens.. Like this one measuring the cell, then sticking her abdomen in and laying an egg. This is her life after she mates, then lays thousands and thousands of eggs untill the colony gets the urge to swarm the following season and propagate! Only then will she be able to leave and have her beautiful swarm flight!

It has been a rough winter for us with a bear destroying almost 90%of our colonies. But those that did survive are now engulfed in the dramatic ups and downs of the new england spring. They are slowly progressing but has been a slow start but we are off!

Though spring is late I did get the first cut out call this season and successfully rescued this colony and is now safe in a hive in our yard. Again if you see a swarm or have bees making a home in your home let us know I will come and safely take them out and bring them home!
warm weather cant come soon enough! The bees are patiently waiting too!
